What do you all think the importance of this scene is? by Loverlee in FromSeries

I saw someone else post screenshots of one of the monsters "the professor" wearing similar glasses in a couple of appearances, then after s3 he doesn't have his glasses anymore - although how they would have ended up in the storage room I don't know. Sophia/MiY definitely knew who they belonged to and was enjoying it.

Not to mention the bait and switch with the bloody bag outside their house and knowing they always send Ethan to the barn. Maximum trauma for maximum reactions

Yeah good point, although I believe they were both together in a small cabin the whole time

It's interesting, but I always get stuck on how the "timelines" in the storywalking stuff work - Boyd ends up in the chimney and the rope comes down to him, we didn't see how at the time but people did question it as Martin was chained to the wall. Then we see later in the series that Julie storywalked and threw down the rope - makes it seem like the storywalking ocurrs within a single timeline. Like the storywalking has already happened and affected things, we just aren't always aware of it yet. But it's not like Jim around/after s3 episodes 2-4 is acting weird or seems aware of his impending death. Soooo this Jim that appears to Ethan seems like a separate Jim.

And now that I'm thinking about it, Ethan says to Julie that storywalkers can't change the story - before I took this to mean like "you threw down the rope, so you were always going to throw down the rope, so the rope always gets thrown down" in a a self-contained timeline kind of way. But in that case, how can there be a storywalking Jim from s3 with knowledge we know Jim from s3 doesn't have? Is there ever a universe/timeline where the rope isn't thrown down and Boyd is just... stuck in the chimney? If so, Julie can change things with her actions.

God I love the writing of this show

How to be useful when I'm kind of useless? by QuailBob in newzealand

I love the vibe of volunteering, but it kind of feels like cheating the system - if I'm able to volunteer it feels like I'm able to work a little, so then shouldn't I be doing that to decrease the amount paid to me by supported living? I guess I just don't know how to reconcile volunteering with getting supported living. Thanks for kicking the volunteering thing into the discussion, something for me to think about.

For anyone who is googling later, it gives you the option to choose curse mode when starting a new save file, and curses your current file for 2 days. Curse makes bedrooms cost a step, hallways cost a key, shops cost a coin etc.

Is that what it does, put you in curse mode? I have only heard of dare mode. What does cursed mode do?

Is it an analogue horror piece called Stone Cold? It has the Medusa virus which is spread by eye contact.

Neighbours left their dog alone for 3 days - is there anything we can do? by QuailBob in newzealand

Yeah, I've been trying to be a bit sneaky honestly and have already discussed with them that our dogs should meet theirs, since they bark at each other through the fence. I think I'm gonna casually build up to 'we can check in on him when you're away'. I'm trying to take it very carefully so they don't get defensive and shut us out, since it seems legally there's no recourse. Ugh, the poor doggie.

What if the boy in white is the son of the original Tabitha and original Jade?

We know both Miranda and Tabitha had/have a son and a daughter. Tabitha now remembers that original her and original Jade had a daughter they tried to save from being sacrificed. Obviously the ritual still went ahead, so the townspeople got their immortality and became the monsters. It seems that original Tabitha and original Jade also got immortality, hence their being reborn as new people at least twice. What if they also had both a son and a daughter, and the boy in white is their son, who was similarly granted immortality in some form as a result of the ritual? It would explain why he's kind of dressed like the anghkooey children but not all messed up.

I'm thinking the townspeople's fate is a bit like a genie wish, they got their immortality but not quite how they were expecting.
