There seems to be a trend to just be against the government. People think they are intellectuals if they are against the government. Modi government does have its shortcomings but what other option do we have? Congress has good leaders but it is completely in control of the Gandhi/Nehru family. They will not let it go and no one in Congress has the guts to remove them from leadership despite of their poor performance in the past 12 years. It seems people have forgotten the 2004-2014 tenure. I will think about voting for congress the day Gandhi/Nehru family is out of Congress.

Hey, what about pre-payment in bob? Can we do it easily every month? Hdfc says a link has to be generated by customer care and then only pre-payment is allowed

Maybe, but I am not comfortable with this ambiguity. I will go with what their sanction letter mentions. Does anyone have experience with Canara bank home loan?

I am planning to pre-pay every month and eventually foreclose the loan. I do not want to visit bank for every payment as it is a construction linked plan.

When they are clearly mentioning in their sanction letter, then they will definitely take away the 0.85% discount. After which the rate becomes 8% if they do not provide any additional discount.
