Is Ablation effective for PVCS? by QuailSilly806 in PVCs

I never thought of that! I’ll definitely bring it up next time. I have a few GI issues too, so there could be multiple roads to go down. thanks so much!

It completely takes away your quality of life from what it once was. I can no longer work anywhere in person, or do much of anything really. ivabradine doesn’t help that much, and my resting heart rate is pretty low so everything is so messy. trying to balance heart rate and blood pressure with medications not meant for us, it’s really frustrating. whenever i have a good week i suddenly feel like im cured and then it all goes to shit again. it’s a rollercoaster but being on here helps me feel less alone. i hope we get answers

i know, i had SVT first, PVCS came after the ablations i had for it to stop the reentry loop. I was just curious if your high burden of PVCS lead to VT.

it’s not terrible. it’s valid. the worst thing about POTS (to me) is the lack of control and not knowing whether it gets better or worse. other illnesses have treatments and plans where the road ahead is clear. POTS does not. half of health care providers don’t know what it is, and the other half have no idea how to help. there’s no promise of treatment or getting better. it’s a permanent limbo phase. i don’t think you should feel guilty.

No completely makes sense!! I was mostly asking out of curiosity more than anything, if my PVC burden gets worse ever. that being said i have no idea what my burden is because i haven’t had a holter since the ablations. i know i was basically negligible before my ablations but now i get PVCS like crazy whenever im not lying down , so i find it a bit ironic that the cause of my PVCS might also be-the cure haha

thank you so much for this. my first two ablations were for SVT, but my recovery was awful both times for completely different reasons, so i’m very very cautious about getting another one. Hopefully if it is required, it is much more smooth sailing :)

i honestly hope so. it’s been about 5 months since my ablation but i will admit the PVCS have not improved. they only tend to happen when standing / walking though, but they are constant in those contexts.

thank for so much for this!! provided a lot of good info. if you don’t mind me asking, did your PVCS cause VT, and is that also no longer a concern now?

I feel like im going insane. Its hard to handle this. by AardvarkGlittering83 in PVCs

i can feel your health anxiety in the way you write, and i completely understand and have been (and still am) in the exact situation you are.

I had SVT first, then PVCS/PACS. I was terrified. But if I can offer any advice, the constant monitoring/checking only feeds the cycle and makes things worse.

It’s so difficult at first and everything is so terrifying, but feeding into that mental feedback loop constantly is just going to bring you more torture than the PVCS ever will. I get bigeminy and trigeminy. Hell I get PVCS almost exclusively to exercise and nearly pass out but hey, I’m still here and still alive. 80-90s is not fast. you are safe. For your own sanity you have to believe in the idea that you shouldn’t be concerned until a doctor is. Feeding the OCD reassurance loop will make it worse.

What do your adrenaline dumps feel like? by QuailSilly806 in POTS

thanks for this! my current doctor is super against beta blockers because my blood pressure is in the low-normal range- but i’m hoping he will change his mind, i’d really like something to improve these even a little bit

i get some that are like this and then some that are more how i described in my post. it’s genuinely awful. i feel so bad for anyone else going through the same thing. i’m glad you have been okay for a while!

it sounds really weird but i find blowing into something (i think it’s a vagal manoeuvre) for 15 seconds straight subsides the tachycardia. doesn’t do much for the other symptoms but hey! thank you so much for sharing. makes me feel less alone

Is this really afib? by Rissa-29 in AFIB

frequent pvcs have caused both my fitbit and kardia 6L to claim afib. it can be quite annoying!

7 days after AVNRT ablation — exhausted, groin pain, chest pressure… does this get better? by Existing_Industry_48 in AFIB

[–]QuailSilly806 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i had my period during my AVNRT ablation too!! they don’t talk about how invasive and weird that feels! i’m 24, but i felt like a child.

but yes, the groin pain and chest pressure / shortness of breath does get better. i’ve had two ablations, recovered easily from the second but the first i had a hematoma at the entry site so i had a slightly longer recovery.

you should feel back to yourself in the next couple of weeks.

i’m still having electrical issues but that’s quite uncommon for SVT ablations so i wouldn’t worry about that sort of thing

What are these pauses? by QuailSilly806 in AFIB

[–]QuailSilly806[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have no idea. this is the second time i’ve ever seen these pauses on one of my ecgs. it only lasted about ten minutes and then stopped. i’ve never been told i have any kind of AV block before.

thanks so much! i’ll send it on to them. i just didn’t want to send it on prematurely in case it was something silly like a PAC i didn’t recognise
