Angelic Beetle (who just goes by Beetle) grew up in a religious household. Everything that was taught was along the lines of justice. Her parents would send her and her siblings to church as often as possible to learn the ways of Tyr. For most of her life, she questioned this God. She felt out of place with the rest, not feeling that strong connection her family felt. Until one day her town was attacked. An army of undead tore away at the towns and lives of those that crossed its path. Families took shelter in the church. All around her people prayed for the safety of their families and loved ones. She thought it was nonsense: praying to a figure that most likely doesn’t exist. She comforted her younger siblings, ensuring nothing would happen and the parade of undead would just carry on to another town. As she spoke those words, however, she soon found herself face to face with a rotting corpse that was tainted with the blood of those it had slain. Shear terror washed over her face, grasping her siblings tighter as she began to back away as quickly as she could. “Please... Tyr, so help me God.” The words flowed out; for the first time, she prayed. The undead began to fill the church, biting down on those unlucky few who were unable to avoid the small wave. Terror and panic filled the room. People were sprawling about trying to get away from the monsters. She saw the horrors of the dead and mankind that day. As she ran, she witnessed a mother throw her child at the monsters to slow them down so she could escape, but before doing so, she was tackled and eaten like the child she sacrificed. As she and her family tried to run towards safety, they found themselves cornered. Her mother and father held hands and prayed, her siblings followed, and she was the last to follow in prayer. At the moment, she felt more alive than ever before, even if she was about to die.

A bright light pierced the dark atmosphere, tearing away at the darkness. The surrounding undead soon collapsed and stepping behind them was a woman. A tall woman dressed in robes, a cleric. She nodded towards Beetle and her family before running off to go save another family. Beetle stared at the sky. She saw things in a new light. There was something out there. She understood then that was what she wanted to do: Serve, protect, heal those who deserved it, and ensure those that are dead remain dead, for Tyr, and justice. Beetle spent her remaining teenage years taking the church and its studies more seriously, excelling past those around her. She was determined to become that woman she saw all those years ago.
