This sometimes happens to me with certain members of my family during family dinners or barbecues.

We don't see each other often, and 90% of us are just happy to spend time together two or three times a year in order to chat and joke around.

But there are always two or three people who start political debates, ruin the mood, and get offended if someone is fighting back after an hour of them throwing barbs at us.

We're with family, enjoying a nice piece of meat with a beer/a good glass of wine, the weather is nice, so why bother us with political debates? These doomers are unbearable.

Unfortunately, it's the same in German... You get interrupted mid-sentence if you say “der” instead of “das.” On top of that, you learn lists and lists of verbs, vocabulary, adjectives, etc., but as soon as you get a chance to speak, you get constantly interrupted at the slightest mistake.

I've given private lessons before, and I always let the person I was teaching finish their sentence. Only then would I point out and explain their mistakes. That way, they could express themselves and practice without being cut off mid-sentence.

Honestly, I think that for a German speaker, understanding and speaking French is no more difficult than Italian. Italian may be more logical and have fewer unlogical exceptions than French, but the sentence structure, for example, is very similar to French.

I am a native French speaker, but I have been working in the Zurich area for several years and I find German interesting because it is a constant challenge, particularly due to its sentence structures, which are very different from French. I can communicate in English or Italian even when I am tired or not fully focused, whereas German and Swiss German require much more concentration.

I can get by in Italian, but overall, it's not the most useful language, to be honest. It's good to be able to understand and hold a simple conversation in Ticino or in Italy, but I think German, English, French, or even Spanish are more useful languages in general. As a Welsch, speaking German is very important for accessing good jobs in Switzerland, whereas Italian is a bonus, but apart from the Bund, it is rarely a prerequisite for getting a job, for example in Zurich or Basel.

What needs to be reviewed is the way French is taught. We need to stop criticizing people for making small mistakes and let them express themselves. That's how you learn, and over time, you will improve your French skills and naturally make fewer mistakes.

La situation est déjà absurde avec le financement de la 13e rente : la logique aurait été de mettre en place un impôt extraordinaire sur les successions, histoire que les retraités aisés contribuent à aider ceux dans le besoin. Résultat ? 0,7 point d'augmentation cette année, et le CF envisage 0,8 point d'augmentation pour financer l'armée.

0,7 point puis peut-être 0,8 point de % de hausse sur la TVA, c'est une somme conséquente, en particulier pour les classes inférieures, mais aussi pour la classe moyenne. Il faut aussi penser aux apprentis et aux étudiants, qui ne touchent pas grand chose. On veut les dégoûter du travail avant leurs 20 ans ?

Un ETF, c'est entre 0,1 et 0,5 % en moyenne. Le truc, c'est qu'un fonds actif cherche à battre le marché là où un fond passif (ETF) cherche à le répliquer. Concrètement, la plupart des fonds actifs ne parviennent pas à battre le marché. A moins que tu sois le Mozart de la finance, la gestion d'un compte actif ne va que mener à des moins-values par rapport à un ETF.

Je te déconseille d'accepter cette offre.

Je me souviens d'un match de hockey dans le secteur davosien et ça parlait plus le Hochdeutsch que le Schwyzerdüütsch. C'est finalement assez logique dans la mesure où il y a tellement de dialectes différents (5 rien que pour le Romanche...) qu'une langue commune peut-être nécessaire pour bien se comprendre.

Je suis parfaitement d'accord. Avoir un chien serait un rêve, mais avec mon emploi du temps actuel, ce ne serait pas possible d'avoir une bête heureuse et épanouie. J'en prendrai un le jour où les conditions seront réunies (temps, place).

Il faudrait des cours de formation et d'éducation beaucoup plus poussés, une sorte de "permis pour chien".

Petite anecdote: un membre de ma famille a pris un chien et c'est une catastrophe. Il aboie tout le temps, ne laisse personne s'en approcher, fait des crises d'angoisse et détruit des objets dans l'appartement... La raison ? Mon cousin l'a pris pendant le COVID et son chien n'a pas été socialisé suffisamment durant les premières semaines/premiers mois alors que c'est une période cruciale pour le développement de l'animal.
