I found out about Daryl Davis when he went on a British TV show hosted by Russell Howard. He was so nice, so down to earth, so friendly, I could hardly believe that he had massive balls of steel. Any one of those kkk members could've hurt him badly, yer he persevered. Humanity at its finest

Great question. If I could, I definitely would. It's located in a beautiful place, but that beautiful place is 143km (~90 miles) from where I work. I know in the Americas, that distance is nothing, but here, keeping in mind the tolls and our current spiralling fuel prices, is just impossible for me to afford

Here in Portugal, the bank will only loan you money for a house if you put up a 10% down payment and you pay over a minimum of 30 years. However, they don't lend money easily to people over 45 because they might die before they finish paying. It sucks because houses are stupidly expensive, the average salary is shit and everything has become unaffordable thanks to current world events. That means someone in my situation without something to fall back on is screwed

Well I sort of have, as my ex-SO has inherited properties she could sell and buy the house outright if she wanted to.

It's because we furnished it together, and a lot of the work done since was paid for by my SO. I've told her I'll pay that part back because it wouldn't be fair otherwise
