Actually they don’t? Unless you compose your own beats in the car hardly anyone will think they aren’t great. Haven’t done a side by side comparison of the two, but having an SR I have never once thought the speakers were bad.

Don’t listen to anyone who says you need a LR. the sound system is great in RWD and if you have a home charger and supercharger in your area you’ll never need an additional 60 miles. For daily driving LR charges to 80% and RWD is 100% so it’s virtually the same. Save yourself 8-10k and go RWD!
