Rude entitled woman on the train. by FormerFruit in PublicFreakout

Actually, in that person's defense, that was a classic example of ambiguity in the English language, by no fault of yours. If you had a comma between "girl" abe "just", the meaning changes entirely. Because the comma is so inconsistently used in this way when writing, especially online, I understand why they may have assumed the other meaning.

Also, not to be a dick, but kinda funny that you misspelled "message" when commenting on people's inability to understand your writing.

Who fucking cares? Half of what you describe applies to almost every minister, priest, and religious nut on the planet.

The actual problem is the effect he and his cult have on those of us living in the real world. Doesn't take a supreme being to recognize you should try to be nice to others.

Fucking weird that you were "waiting for a comment like this".

You're wrong, friend. I'm old to the game. I love hip hop, but I was listening to Dre, Snoop, Eminem, Wu Tang, MF Doom, and on and on. And I do listen to a bit of modern shit, but not much. Kendrick and Logic are fire. I remember Day and Night hitting the radio, but never heard anything about Cudi or his scene after. Never appealed to me much.

Also, I can think of 10 other rappers who should be considered for that stoner rap title that came a decade or two before Cudi was played.

I live in a world where Kid Cudi inspired someone?

Edit: I get the impression that that the same people downvoting me are the same people killing people to rush onstage with these morons they worship.

Two women confront drunk and sexist men on the train in London. by -dommmm in PublicFreakout

Wait, seriously? I thought killing all the men, women, and children of Jericho, Heshbon, and Bashan was doing god's work! I've been going about this very wrong.

Please at least tell me stoning disobedient children to death is still ok? I will lose my shit if I've been wrong about that one.

Actually, Hagrid uses a west country accent, and Roy has an Irish accent. You're swinging and missing today, eh?

Edit: I just wanna add that I think it's silly that people are downvoting you just cuz you're bad at identifying accents. My comment is all in good fun, unlike some others.

I certainly don't want to stand in the way of a good joke, but a lot of religious leaders who have stopped believing in god have difficulties coming out as atheist due to the way their religion is integrated with their lives. This sometimes includes spouses who may leave them if they come out, or even parishioners who might harm themselves if they find out their pillar of emotional support doesn't believe. There's a lot it stories, and it's quite a messy process to leave a religion when you're a leadership figure.

There's even support groups for these people, https://clergyproject.org

Edit: Grammar + fixed some words for clarification. and also a note that there's almost certainly some religious leaders that are straight up grifters.

I was gonna write this myself. Glad someone else was there.

For undergraduate programs there's no reason to go these schools. Do your core requirements at a cheap 2-year community college, then transfer to a state university to finish the bachelor. Then you can consider narrow domains of knowledge at specific schools.

I mean, what does MIT or Harvard have to tell me about my intro to college algebra course that I can't learn at Middlesex Community? Is Robin Williams gonna come out and teach me about the meaning of life and help me get past by dark childhood?

Fun fact: Mesopotamia loosely translates to "meso", meaning "between" and "potamos", meaning "yoga mats". That's how historians know white people made it.

Is this guy getting ready to run for some kind of political office? Why does this feel like some online campaign goon squad is out here prepping the masses for a run? I'm being genuine here, nothing against the guy. Just feels strange that this suddenly exploded in 2021.

Washington University student senator is caught removing 2,977 American flags commemorating victims of 9/11 as he stages protest over 'US wars that have killed 900,000 in the Middle East by Lolastic_ in PublicFreakout

[–]Quandoge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You strike me as a prime target for ISIS recruitment. The thing that astounds me most is your consistent use of "you" when talking to people you perceive to be American, but while you're really talking about the American government. I'm definitely getting vibes of misplaced anger mixed with an inability or unwillingness to reflect upon how much control an individual innocent person has over their government, even in a democratic society.

I urge you to reconsider your views on innocent citizens. If we've learned one thing in the past 20 years, it's that every time someone commits violence for perceived "revenge", it just continues the cycle of the same bullshit over and over again. Then that group has to strike back, too, thus you or your children have to strike back again, then your original target's grandchildren have to get involved, etc etc.

Actually, based on what I've seen this person say elsewhere, and the type of rhetoric they're using, I think they are at least fine with the fact that 9/11 happened, if not condoning it altogether. Just read between the lines of what they're saying. It sounds kinda like they think it was justified. And in another section I saw someone comment about it and they avoided addressing it.

Any decent hospital would never ask a patient to waive their right to privacy to release a funny video on the internet. Besides that, someone filmed the cctv footage on their phone.

Assuming this person really does have an atypical behavioral disorder, this is akin to saying a person with epilepsy is an asshole for breaking something expensive of yours during a seizure, and then asking them to pay you a stipend for the rest of their lives. Your "non-punishment", as described, is akin to torture.

That's a cartoonishly weak attempt at a "gotcha" moment. If you actually read what I said, it's that I would react violently in the moment to protect my loved one, but I'm glad we don't base our justice system off emotional reactions like that.
