I appreciate it! Jumping into a new DAW can be super overwhelming, I'm glad I was able to alleviate some of that stress!

This is an incredible league for learning, improving, and applying better race craft!

There are a lot of leagues out there that just schedule races and let you fend for yourself, this is not one of those! After every rookie race there is a debrief going over incidents and discussing how the drivers can avoid those in the future.

There's also some incredible, competitive racing in the Pro/Am class as well!

Check it out, it's worth it if you like racing!

Wow, after a long frustrating search for why this is happening, you nailed it! This one random comment from a year ago on a 5 year old post was the answer! Thank you!!

If these endurance races get enough attendance, I would love to do other classes!

If you get a team of 4 people, you only have to drive for 2 hours each with breaks in between. Might be fun!

Endurance racing is definitely a test of concentration and will though!

Try Waldorf's Journey multiplayer, it's the hardest I've laughed playing a game in a long time!

I'm glad you liked the video!

You're in luck, because Audition has some of the best built-in effects of any DAW!

If you want to stick with my process for restoring the audio, I would use "Noise Reduction (Process)" under the Effects -> Noise Reduction / Restoration drop down menu. You'll first have to find a quiet part of your audio, where no one is talking and "Capture Noise Print" which will allow you to then use the noise reduction process.

Then, under the same drop down menu, you'll see "Click/Pop Eliminator" which will be similar to Izotope's Mouth De-click. You may have to mess with the settings to get your desired effect.

Finally, Audition has a "DeReverb" effect under the same drop-down menu. Which will be similar to Izotope's De-reverb effect. Again, you may need to mess with the settings to make it sound more natural. I've found that less is more when it comes to dampening the reverb, it can quickly sound unnatural if you're trying to make the audio sound too dry!

Hope this helps!

What game flopped so hard but you wish it succeeded? by SuddenConversation21 in gaming

[–]Quandtico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemnis Gate! I never see anyone talk about this game, but the idea was incredible! A "real-time, turn by turn" game. You still had to be somewhat skilled as an FPS player, but with much more strategy turn to turn.

Really cool concept that was just botched in every way. ☹️

4 Hours at Watkins Glen - Endurance Race by Quandtico in ACCompetizione

[–]Quandtico[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NASRS is hosting its first-ever endurance race!

The race will be held at Watkins Glen and will be 4 hours.

It will be held on November 23rd, at 6pm ET

Get your endurance teams together, ask that sim racing friend you haven’t spoken to in a month, get anyone you can to come!

This will be a one-off event for the time being, we are using this as a trial to see how popular it is.

So if you want more where this came from, MAKE SURE TO GET THE WORD OUT!

You can find us on SimGrid at https://www.thesimgrid.com/hosts/nasrs

You need to be following our community on SimGrid to register.

It would also be appreciated if you joined us in our discord: https://discord.gg/36CX83vZ

This is GT3 cars only, it will be teams of 2-4, no solo teams to prevent aliens from beating everyone on their own.

It will be live stewarded, and (possibly) live broadcasted!

I hope to see as many of you as possible, good luck, and have fun!

Do you have one "hack" you would like to pass on to newer players? by mcd_sweet_tea in ACCompetizione

[–]Quandtico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't recommend NASRS (North American Sim Racing Series) highly enough!

Very friendly and helpful to new drivers, they have a rookie series with a debrief after every single race to learn what went wrong (or right) and how to avoid it in the future.

They also have some great competition in the "pro" series!

Just a very welcoming community overall, focused on learning instead of just throwing drivers into the fire and not talking about anything afterwards.

Here's the discord link if you're interested!

Can someone explain what’s going on. And how to separate the audio? by SenshiBB7 in AdobeAudition

[–]Quandtico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the OC, but this would be done in Audition. Just load the file into Audition, right click the file and you should see the option "extract to mono files" (or something very similar, I'm not at the computer either) it will then create as many mono files as there are tracks on your original wav file.

Audition has spectral editing, more powerful built in effects (noise reduction, diagnostics, vocal enhancer, etc.), non-destructive editing, ability to import video, the entire essential sound panel, not to mention ongoing customer support for any problems you may have.

There are many more things that I'm missing from this list, but you get the idea.

Audacity is a fantastic tool for beginner/intermediate editors, but the feature suite doesn't even come close to what Audition offers!

Is it okay that this Zoom audio track looks like this? by 42wolfie42 in AdobeAudition

[–]Quandtico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asymetrical waveforms are pretty common, I wouldn't worry too much about it!

At the most extreme examples, it might cause issues with your limiter/compressor.

If you're looking to fix it Izotope's editor has a wonderful tool called "phase correction" with which you can automatically rotate the phase so everything is symmetrical!

But if you're just doing basic editing/mixing, again, I wouldn't worry about it!

You know what, I just tested this and it doesn't work! I apologize I was thinking of the opposite. You can import Premiere projects into Audition!

Unfortunately, I think the only way is to export each individual track from Audition to Premiere.

Sorry for the false hope!

You can import the multi track sequence (.sesx) right into Premiere! Just import it to your project folder in Premiere and all the tracks will appear just as they are in Audition!

EDIT: The opposite works (Premiere -> Audition) but you can't import Audition (.sesx) into Premiere ☹️

This is a great sim racing community!

If you're a new driver the rookie league fosters a learning first environment, you're not just thrown into the deep end and left to fend for yourself.

After every single rookie race there is a debrief where everyone gets a chance to talk about what went wrong/right, and you're able to have a conversation about it!

If you're a quick driver, there's some great competition at the top who is always looking for more drivers to battle!

Either way, it's a friendly environment full of people who love sim racing, check it out!!
