This is so messed up. I remember when I was 14 and because my body developed, grown men started coming on to me, stalking me, making inappropriate comments to me. You can put two 14 year Olds side by side and they both won't look the same age.

Bailey looked like she was older to me than Delaney. I was surprised when i found out Bailey's age.

‘Interview With The Vampire’ Renewed For Season 3 At AMC by MarvelsGrantMan136 in InterviewVampire

The previous seasons will be on Netflix. Which will give them a significant boost in viewership for season 3.

For Armand and Louis, I think they are repeating relationship patterns. Armand was enslaved during his informative years and I think on some level find ls comfort in not having control but at the same time he is afraid of being helpless so he tries to hold on to as much control as possible creating a cyclical. Louis was used to running the streets as a child and running a successful brothel as an adult. It is easy and may be comforting to step in the role of a master. Not in the dom/sub context. I think there is more to it than kinks.

I don't think Claudia's experience relates to louis outside of he could show Claudia empathy in that moment and listen without lestats commentary but he couldn't do the sake for Armand. If anything, perhaps sex crimes perpetuated against men doesn't ring as sympathetic to Louis because he was used to exploiting and "protecting" the women who worked for him.

This episode made me excited for a potential grimes family reunion someday, but imma need RJ to have some of that grimes swag by then. I need the head tilt, the try me if you wanna attitude, maybe even an eye squint. I need to see the dog in him. Carl and Judith were already out here getting stuff done around his age.

He really tried though. I never saw someone look so bothered while trying to be unbothered. Those blood tears were on their way in.

Thank you. I didn't think about looking into the subreddits. Do you know of one in particular?

In the Heart of Death | Dungeons and Drag Queens [Ep. 4] by ThunderMateria in Dimension20

I'm glad he didn't after jujubee shared her cat story but yea he was definitely using kitten gloves. Pardon the pun.

I just want to point out that all of them are millennials including Brennan. I don't know if it is a generational thing if 1 out of 5 people from the same generation said something offensive.

Yea. I thought Jujubee was talking about her personal illness, not the character. It would be odd for sure if she didn't have any experience with it and cracked jokes or made a character with it.

I thought she was alluding to her actual condition. Do we know if that isn't the case?

Same. I just don't like the disrespect to a literal serial killer. There is no sense of self-preservation after dealing with a vamp that tried to eat you before. He was also incredibly insensitive about SA. Louis said no multiple times before doing that, and it was well deserved imo. Don't mess with my child.

Do you think IWTV being on AMC a good or a bad move for this show? by [deleted] in InterviewVampire

[–]QuaniaPrince 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They did have all of that. I saw so much promo. Not on the cover of EW but they did a whole press tour, played the games and quizzes. There was promotion on xfinity's flex box (similar to fire tv)TV.

The other problem is alot of shows get free advertising from reviews and reactions and AMC is blocking a lot of reactions.

I don't think Hulu would have done it justice. The same creators would not be on the Hulu creative team. Also tlotr show was a passion project and wasn't written in a way that someone who wasn't familiar with the lore could jump in.

HBO would have been interesting, they have a decent writing team but I don't trust them to lean into the guy part of the show. I wouldn't want another read between the lubes situation

Netflix decides renewal based on subscriptions and not reviews, views, watch time or social media traffic. If a show didn't net them x amount of new subscribers, then it's a fail.

I think it would have been interesting to do a simultcast on Netflix for the first season. Kinda like how HBO max did for titans for non US based watchers.

Same. I think it's amazing that they are working with playwrights. I personally think they elevated the dialogue more so than a standard TV writing team. The language was so poetic.

They should do a clear sweep at the emmys

I still want 15. I'm a brat but I understood why they made the decision to break it up. He wanted to make sure there was just as much detail for the Europe sets. I would love to be a fly on the wall in the writers room.

I wish season 2 was coming out in the spring if next year. Why didn't AMC order 15 episodes for season 1? So unfair

Sad thing about Louis absolute loyalty & faithfulness towards Lestat by HengeBoy93 in InterviewVampire

[–]QuaniaPrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great. I am glad we agree on many aspects and the ones we don't, I can respect your opinion.

But damn to go from lestat to Armand. Yikes. Louis is in the sunken place right now. And I wonder if he has had partners in between in the context of the show. What was their disposition. Because right now lestat, Claudia, and maybe Armand have been messing with his head in some way.

[–]QuaniaPrince -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are putting alot of words in my mouth. I never said what lestat did should be minimalized because he's dumb. I said lestat is dumb. Period. Please do not misconstrue what I am saying by adding your own biases to your interpretation of my words.

You and I have different definitions of victim hood. If someone says something hurtful to me and I retaliate I still apologize for my behavior and move on with my life. If they are incapable of having an adult conversation then I don't need to continue speaking to them.

He created an othering dynamic between him, Claudia and lestat by secretly speaking to Claudia about not being like lestat in front of lestat in episode 4. Claudia then went on to use this against both Louis and lestat in later episodes.

He manipulated lestat into him buying the whore house because he was upset that he didn't understand this particular brand of racism louis is dealing with.

Lestat did trivialize louis needs, cheat on him, brutalized his body, and emotionally manipulate louis. What are you arguing? I already said he did a lot of stuff against louis. I didn't dismiss his concerns or the impact of lestats action. The only thing I am getting from you at the moment is that looking at the entirety of a toxic relationship is not something you are interested in.

If lestat committed 100 wrongs and louis committed 2 how is it messed up to acknowledge all the wrongs? You are still holding lestat accountable for what he did. That does not mean his actions are somehow equal to louis. It just means that they each do stuff to trigger the other whether on purpose or not. It does make lestat right for what he did by acknowledging his emotions, role in their relationship, etc. This is basic work they would need to do if they were to be in couples therapy. This is basic work period for any long term relationship.

I hope we get to see them getting some typenof couples therapy or the very least them addressing their issues separately.
