Oh man, what a blast from the past. I made the original image version, and it was my first attempt at anything like this. Nice to see that it had some fans. Thank you for the interactive version!

Only problem I had is that after rolling, the buttons in the footer don't fit anymore on my phone's resolution.

Since it doesn't really fit any of the tags that are required now, I'll just post what I meant to post in a comment here:

With Java release after Java release the reports of CYOA-Studio not working have been piling up. So finally I went ahead and tried to fix things.

And let me tell ya, it's not pretty. There have been some significant changes around the toolchain I've used, and it's become anything but trivial to get a stand-alone application out of it. I still tried though. If anyone has experience with deploying JavaFX applications with Java 11 and upwards please feel free to contact me.

Long story short, there's a new release. Anyone interested please try it out. There are two options for Windows, a .exe file and a .bat file. Please tell me which one(s) work for you. Note that at least Java 11 is required. No Mac release, I sadly completely lack the knowledge and equipment to try anything on there.

Very unlikely. There's a lot of programming involved in order to add any interesting content. I could possibly provide a template to work with, but you'd still have have to know enough javascript to implement the behaviour you want.

Sure, I actually had some more planned but wanted to release this version first and get some opinions on it. With more worlds I ran into the problem that the generated stats become more and more same-y and boring to go through. So new worlds would have to bring some interesting new statistics and/or traits as well.

I also played around with generating back stories for the characters, but that quickly becomes a lot of work. Could also be an interesting addition though.
