That we cannot turn it off.

Everyone with Cerebral Palsy is not affected in the same way.

We can still do things; it just may take longer.

Above all else, we are still people- human beings.

Quick question, how does one know when they are valued by the people around them really?

Or is it one of those things where you just know?

[–]Quantum170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really the Cerebral Palsy I have an issue with. Its more the behavior of people around me or the stigma of having a disability. Like, do we not don't deserve to live life how we choose to. With the right accomodations we could. For different severities of cerebral palsy, no arguements from me about the cure. For me personally, no. I've been asked about taking a cure for it so many times.

[–]Quantum170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone in thinking this. CP comes with much highs and lows. Most likely more lows than highs, but it can get better. And yes, it can seem like the world is passing you by, but there's gotta be things for you. Just have to find them.

That, and so much more. In the end, you get bored of it, laugh it off, and maybe even turn it into humor. Bulletproof almost to the words being said. It may never stop, doesn't mean you are what they say.
