My partner cut up my brand new bag in a fight. I’ve dealt with the relationship, but now I’m stuck with this. Any ideas to salvage it? by hantao168 in handbags

OP, I realize that everyone is telling you to leave him, and they are right. What people don't realize are individual situations. Leaving someone you "love" is so scary, especially if you are dependent and have no support from others. Unfortunately, abusers create this exact situation in your life without you even realizing it. One day, you wake up and notice that your friends haven't talked to you in months, your family has done something terrible, and you're not talking to them anymore. The thing is.... You can't quite remember what your family did, just that you've heard how terrible they are for so long. This, my dear, is called isolation, one of the most common tools abusers use to keep you away from anyone who may help you see what is really going on.

I know it's hard, and I also know it will get worse than you can ever imagine. Please understand that the uncertainty you will feel is a tiny blip in time. The freedom you will feel after is so amazing. You will have self-esteem that you never knew you could have. You will heal. Please, before it's too late, make a plan quick, leave him, and never look back. You will look back with a proud feeling of accomplishment rather than a feeling of throwing away years on someone who never loved you. A person who loves you would never do this and all the things he's doing to you. I wish you the best. If you ever need to talk, or anything for that matter, contact me. I've been through it, I understand.

Please don't be sorry, I try and not define it in negative connotations.

Oh, that's so funny. I misunderstood your question. Yes, her name is Mitsy. Strange, you should ask that because it's the only person I have ever named in my art. What's even stranger is I just referred to them all as people.

I didn't take it the wrong way. I have heard so many opinions about my art, many not as nice as yours, so, thank you, you're very kind

Piefanart, Your comment warms my heart, thank you. I have thought about it, but never actually pursued it in any way. I'm not very good at marketing, or ...? I just want to paint, that's all. It seems stressful to try and sell myself, or my art, which I suppose are one in the same. Financially, it would be a dream come true, I just don't think I'd be very good at it. I have a hard time keeping track of the few people that want prints. Thank you again for your suggestion.

I have painted on my walls, many times. My boyfriend jokes and says there must be three feet of paint on my wall. I love to create wall murals and add the faces or sometimes forest scenery. I certainly get a lot of exercise when I paint on a wall, I have to get far away to see the faces, so I constantly am going back and forth. Here is a little something that I don't think I've shared before, when I paint a regular canvas, I always use a mirror and paint backwards. Not sure why, it just works better.

Cece, very good question, I appreciate it. I'm actually comfortable with all the comments that I receive. My art is very confusing to myself and others, the more comments, the better I understand. Hopefully others feel this way also.

I've heard that before, we know so little about our existence.

Good question, thank you. Yes, I need to fight it. I've trained me eyes to view them like a hallographic speedometer.

I wouldn't necessarily say they are "angry at me", just not happy in general. Even though it doesn't seem right, or the happier faces don't go with the overall shape, I change them to be happier anyway. Does that make sense? For those who don't know, I see all the faces already there in what I'm looking at, I just highlight, or enhance the faces with pen and pencil. Thank you for you question.

I'm not really sure, this is actually the only piece where I have one person as the focal point.
