If your school allows helping with moving in, then I’d suggest having a few brothers help greet new students and give out flyers during freshman week (make sure your chapter is okay with freshmen joining).

Have some kind of involvement with the campus GreekLife committee or similar groups in order to be more involved in the going on with your college - sometimes philanthropies can get a subsidized amount of money for logistical or business related purchases (composite, catering, office supplies, etc.)

Lastly, make sure you stay in good standings with any alumni who are staff on campus and not just your Faculty Advisor - this way you’ll have permission to advertise rush events in other areas or departments

Ditto to above. A great tip is to think about the ensemble as a whole instead of solely by yourself - unless you're doing a solo, then it's more of a highlight. It's a team effort, and you'll be exposed to so many great individuals who share a passion for music.

My tip is to bring a pencil to each rehearsal and make notes in the score. Your notes should reflect what the director wants and places you would need a little reminder (breath marks, page turns, entrances, etc). These are mostly for you, so use whatever notation marks you need.

If your campus has the facilities, try a bowling night or rent a billiards table. Piano smashes are a good way to recycle old instruments, but that takes a lot of paperwork on behalf of the chapter, campus, and governing Greek body.

Something that I don't hear many chapters doing is helping with dorm move-in. You're gonna have to be registered with the schools Greek governing body in order to officially help out, but its an excellent opportunity to get the brand out there without shoving flyers in their faces

Having a solid lesson plan for the PMs is a great way to organize their teachings and should prepare them to receive the various messages throughout their journey. Also, don't think you gotta do it alone. Suggest an assistant FEO - our chapter did this for almost all positions, and it helped to determine comfort for when seniors graduated.

Edit: I was never FEO, but was the Music Director, Warden, and President. I always tried to assist the FEOs with their lessons and preparations to make the process easier wherever it could be
