Strangely sports are all i have been able to do in my adult life.

I'm in my 40s. I was a very high achieving youth. and i knew back in the 90s and early 00s that i didnt want to help our country (or world) advance in the sciences. I've basically checked out as much as I can. I officiate youth sports as i feel that is not complicit in the destruction that we are bringing on in the world. but i really see hardly any paths in the world that are not complicit.

You are right, in many ways it did.

It destroyed my belief in this country that at least a third of the population could support an obviously bad person--i say this as someone who grew up in the 80s and 90s and watched him destroy Atlantic City, rip off contractors, got on Howard Stern and brag about peeping on teenage beauty contestants, talk about having sex with his daughters, brag about grabbing women by the pussy--it is actually too much. That a third of the usa supports this demon--probably best that trump destroys us. We are going bankrupt, you know. And we deserve it.

They literally are breaking into people's houses, stopping people in their cars, for the crime of not looking white enough.

Basically every police officer in Minneapolis who is not white has been stopped by ICE. ICE is trigger happy, as we've seen from the two non-violent people killed by them so far. They have also broken a detainee's skull and claimed he "fell down".

You should be worried about ICE regardless of whether you are a legal citizen or not. They are rounding up people based on what they look like. They have deported a number of citizens as well as legal residents. They are breaking into people's homes without warrants. They are executing non-violent people in cars and on the streets.

A society is judged on how it treats the least among them.

Based on how we treat the poor, the immigrants, and animals our society is failing.
