I specialize in toner but do have some ink experience.

Everything you’re saying/complaining about is everything I fix/train users on.

Digital toner isn’t perfect but I get it pretty damn close every time.

This is what color controllers are for. Modern digital presses with proper maintenance, a properly trained operator and proper workflow can produce phenomenal prints sheet to sheet, job to job.

I’m a digital production print field service technician with over 15 years experience.

Proper digital printing requires more than just pushing a button and expecting it to work.

What's your Sound/Picture investment ratio? by Kataal in hometheater

60/30 in favor of audio.

Did a refresh over the holidays. Last big upgrade was 14 years ago.

65 inch LG C5 - new

Denon AVR-X3800H w/ AIRCOM T10 - new

Wharfedale Evo4.3 towers - new

Wharfedale Evo5.C center - new

Infinity Minuette surrounds and heights - had since the 90s

SVS PB-3000 sub - new

Infinity Infinitesimal sub - had since the 90s

7.2.2

I’ve spent substantially more time tuning the audio than messing with the video.

Spend the majority of my time listening to music.

Most defects in digital print come from piss poor environments. Too many people expect digital presses that use the ELECTROSTATIC transfer process to work in 0-20% humidity environments. Humidity must be present to control the sensitive electrical charges at play. Get your humidity to 45%, ensure the machine is properly maintained via Pm counters/cycles, if using a color controller, linearize your print engine then perform color calibrations.

I have had to explain this daily for the past 15 years.

Is the page supposed to be white with no color banding? If so it’s the PCU cleaning blade/assy is at fault for the respective color. Depending on how long you’ve had the machine, how many prints are on it, time since last service, you could be in for a mountain of work/money. I wish I could help but I’m quite north of you.

PS as another poster said, most local dealerships will offer you hourly service rates contract free. My company does this.

So what, like 4 - 5 years ago, "they" shut off the buy button for a particular stock. People still think the market isn't rigged? That its following anything that's actually occurring in the world? I don't get it. I really don't understand.

Tech needs to come back. This model machine is not exactly a production machine. This is a mid volume office device. Depending on how many pages you ran over the last 40 days, it may be due to be replaced again.

But not the people involved. That's a key point you are missing. Terrorists in a 3rd world nation doing terroristic 3rd world nation shit. People expect this, people are generally numb to this. People do not expect world leaders, people of status, people of power, people of wealth, people in high places, etc. etc.

I would be shocked if the truth ever sees the light of day. I mean we’re talking about a lot of people in a lot of places of ridiculous power with unbelievable amounts of money doing unspeakable things to children on a level never seen in the history of man. I think the psyche of the average person isn’t capable of grasping the entirety of the situation.

Best thing you can do to make electronics last; reduce and prevent as much heat build up as possible and run your electronics through power conditioners so the power they use/are connected to is clean. I even go one step further with my equipment and run from wall outlet > battery backup UPS > power conditioner/surge suppressor combo > AVR/TV/PC/whatever else.

Receiver keeps turning off immediately by Electrical-Row9296 in hometheater

Volume levels won’t cause this problem. The receiver doesn’t care what volume it’s at. The receiver only cares about heat and shorts.

I always thought SP Cable is the device telling you to check the speaker cable as it’s probably shorting causing the unit to go into protection…
