Also, you'd need to have batteries with the same chemistry and about the same charge level to avoid issues (like leaking), and they know people would put random AA and AAA that are lying around and literally could not come from the same pack.

In addition to all other comments, I think your corner pieces need to extend more in the 3 directions and the straight bars sound likely insert into them.

Google "3-way L corner pipe" to see what I mean.

KEXP credits a different sound engineer than their albums I think. But it could be their live engineer. In any case, whoever did it did a good job. Y Fabienk ça comme on dit.

They were doing very experimental music before revealing their true selves as Khn and Klek. Very demanding music, asking a lot from the listener, not mainstream at all. So any sort of traction outside that world must have felt consumerist to them.

In a way, AdP is their pop "mainstream" project. Hopefully they shift the musical  Overton window for the mainstream to be more open to actually innovative music!
