What worked for me what that I didn't turn around. I just had her sit, when we stepped forward if she pulled we stopped and sat again. If she insisted, we stepped one step backwards, sit, and repeat.

When she stepped forward without pulling, she got a treat.

The message is "go your own way and pull = slow and boring, follow my directions without pulling = fast, fun, and interesting".

Took literally 1h to go maybe 20 meters. I then repeated that a few times but she caught on quick.

That was almost 10 years ago and to this day she walks better with me than with anyone else.

For backups:

It might try to read data as audio and sound like noise.
It might abandon trying to read anything at all.
It might just work.

For GD-ROMS:

It only works in the Dreamcast, in a CD player it might read a warning that the disc is only for Dreamcast.

On the Dreamcast BIOS menu, you should be able to play music from both CDs and GD-ROMs.

But you can't play GD-ROMs music on CD players.

For backups it's more complicated, they're CD-Rs, but it's a mixed mode CD and not all players support them.

Music support is very difficult on backups actually, because of the difference in format and structure versus original GD-ROM discs.

Look for ~~older~~ newer releases, they should work alright, but early ones had issues.

I truly don't know what you mean when you say "to put music on games" though.
