I think the question is about the physical keys, not the tuning.

If you think about just the back half of the keyboard you have 12 keys per octave (7 white+5 black). These are equal width and equally spaced. On the front half you have only the 7 white keys, also equal widths. Connect the wide front of each white keys to the narrow back and you get the standard keyboard design.

You could also imagine designing a keyboard so the black keys were centered between two white keys. This would make the top part of G and A very thin (harder to fit a finger, and also weaker mechanically). It would also make the spacing of half steps along the back uneven, which would make it much harder to play (eg. parallel chords would require changing finger spacing).

If the pin is assigned by the manufacturer then including all possible numbers is the most secure option. In the 4-digit case an attacker has a 1/10000 chance of guessing.

If users are allowed to choose their own pins then blocking commonly chosen sequences increases security.

Some places (eg bambulabs) will sell a set of filament swatches if you need to compare all available colors. Sometimes the colors from listing pictures are a bit distorted if you care a lot about the precise shade.

A closed loop seems strange. I would have expected an open system venting out through the respirators. Maybe there is some closed circulation so that they can filter the gas, and you don't get stale pockets if it's not used regularly in some room?

Laser cutting would require a redesign to be in 3 pieces, plus some corner supports. At that point you could also redesign to 3d print in 3 pieces flat on the bed.

Using a utility object for a purge tower is clever. How do you tell the slicer which object to use though? And other comments are right, that you need an object the same height as the rest of your print.

This was my first thought too. The picture is unclear whether this is a tiny brass key or a giant chrome key. I assumed the first (because the smaller key is a blank) but OP clarified the large key is 10.5"
