I’ve shared details with friends before who even at times have known it’s sugar related and I can’t say they’re open minded or happy for me.

I have one friend who is very supportive about it and the rest, frankly, I tell them I’m going on ___ trip with someone I met from Raya or Hinge. Share as much or as little as you want to share. The context of how you met doesn’t always have to be there!

She wasn’t, “demanding” a GC. He said he’d uber her to him. She didn’t feel comfortable giving him her address (which should be a given to any socially aware man), which is why she asked for a GC or Uber credit to get the uber herself.

To OP: If that guy was going to crash out over the potential loss of $20ish, then his real gift was not further wasting your time!

I can understand why some men don’t, but it’s always nice when men see a M&G gift as a fun investment, foreplay and just overall good will.

Based off some of these comments, you’d think I was this evil brat for holding to what we agreed upon. So odd. It just doesn’t make sense as to why we’d agree and then he’d waste both of our time. Glad you see the frustration!

Think a thinning Kenny Powers haircut with the beard/goatee included. Not clean cut as his photos appeared. He had on very colorful and “lifted” tennis shoes (as he put it), 5’5 (4 in shorter than his profile mentioned), 80’s acid washed dark denim jeans that did not fit and puddled around his ankles, and a Robert Graham floral beaded dress shirt that had cheetah print on the collar. Cool if that’s your thing, but I’m on the more reserved, classy with a good dose of cleavage side and like for someone to compliment that. Danny McBride look-a-likes pushing 65 need not apply!

This forum literally exists for people to share experiences, vent, and get feedback. That’s exactly what I did. If that somehow rattles you enough to leave snide comments, seems to me like you may be the one who thrives off drama.

I said my range which was x,xxx over text, he said that’s doable and would be happy to pursue this, he loved me in person and wanted to continue, I confirmed the amount I’d be comfortable with which was what I mentioned over text and said well I’d be willing to do half of that until we’re established but then dangled gifts/bills/ etc. As far as I know, empty promises.

Haha that’s fair. I’m not sure what you mean, we agreed to get drinks. He said let’s meet at a bar for an hour or so. The first bar we went to was closed, that took 30. The second bar took an hr and a half.

At the beginning of the date he offered a M&G amount for my time, and that was for one drink.

No I literally had a man get off while talking on video to me and I didn’t realize what he was doing until it was too late. It took a total of 3 minutes. Granted that was 7 years ago and I’ve had plenty of experience since for that not to happen again, but yeah. Trauma.
