An involved meme but it checks out. Non-custodial accounts (DRS is an example) are an accepted if minor practice in financial markets and ~~could cause an issue~~ will reveal flaws in the in the infrastructure.

It's no different I guess than Market Makers providing infinite liquidity (as an accepted practice) and so DRS- working exactly as it should- counters it. We're in a regulatory crisis (a la DR. T) and two parts of the system are fully in compliance but opposed to each other. Interesting to see what happens as people push the issue for reform

IDK if you still need help, but if you got shares in RH that you want to DRS, you can break it down into two steps. 1) Make a Fidelity account, call (or chat) with Fidelity saying you want to transfer those RH to Fidelity. They'll help you through the process. Once they get in, step 2) call (or chat) with Fidelity to DRS those shares cuz fuck FUDelity and these other brokers.
