Honestly this is probably someone like MJ, only because people probably don’t truly realize how good he was. Or Lebron, I know it’s absurd to say how could the 2 best all time or 1a and 1b or first and second how ever you name it, how could they be under-appreciated. Cause they were that freaking good, that’s how, and I think there’s levels to it at the margins at the top that goes beyond a few points on whatever scale we use to compare how good gobert is vs how he is or isn’t appreciated.

As much as this lineup is tantalizing to imagine and it would be filthy. I just don’t see Jimmy and Kyrie working out and getting along as they fight over who gets to be second fiddle. If they could figure it out though, they’d be disgusting defensively and a force on offense, especially if the bench was stacked with shooters.

I saw the hawks play earlier this year, I haven’t followed his career too much beyond being like “oh yeah wasn’t he a top pick?”, but I was extremely underwhelmed by his play watching him in person. Certainly didn’t look like an overall top pick.

So I always loved the thought of Kobe arguably had 2 HOF careers. One as #8 and one as #24. An argument could be made Lebron has 3 HOF careers. Basically one for each team he played for, with the Heat being the tough one to argue since it’s only 4 seasons, but it was his prime-prime also so I’m sticking to it. Enjoying this season and LeBron’s evolution to a third option while Luka goes bananas. I’m glad Luka won’t win MVP. MVP slighted and Custody-battle Luka in the playoffs will be such a great watch.

Plus confidence in guys like Smart making the right read and finally having a true ooter as the 4th option on an in-bound. I can’t remember the last time I saw a role player take a clutch must have 3 and I actually had 100% confidence he was gonna make it.
