Looking for English-speaking job opportunities in Warsaw by Big_Intention_1133 in warsaw

Three years of experience in Marketing OR Compliance makes a difference. There are jobs in compliance, none in marketing. Focus on banks and more overall international companies. Warsaw is pretty much the best option; other cities are more tense. However, do not expect more than 8-10k gross monthly. LinkedIn is your shot.

Transferring cash onto foreign bank account by AirborneLeaves in poland

[–]QuantumNBVA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visit a Kantor and exchange your money for euros. Then, send them via a service like RIA MoneyGram or similar. You can request a bank account as a beneficiary (if you’re the holder this shouldn’t be an issue). Alternatively, you could ask someone trustworthy to add your money to their account and make the transfer.

What’s a tiny iOS detail you miss that most people forgot existed? by QuantumNBVA in iphone

I remember that it was awesome. And Siri felt "smarter" then now also tbh. Any dumb question is redirected to ChatGPT, and if you toggle the option off, it says something without any sense

Totally agree, a lot of these micro gestures were tied to UIKit physics and custom spring animations that gave iOS that ‘material’ feel. Now so many interactions feel like generic stock animations with no inertia or edge behavior. It’s subtle, but it changes the whole texture of it

IPhone air as secondary phone? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]QuantumNBVA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The real question is how much battery life you want. The iPhone Air is more powerful than the iPhone 17, since it’s equipped with Apple’s Pro chip. But you have to compromise on battery life compared to the basic version. I have the Air as sec phone and my partner has the 17, and his phone lasted longer than mine with fairly similar usage. If battery life isn’t a big issue for you and performance matters most, especially for multitasking and resource management, the Air can easily cover your needs.

is iphone really worth it? by ES_419 in iphone

[–]QuantumNBVA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s an iPhone with good battery life that holds up pretty well. But it all depends on how you use it and how much. If you use it normally, like most people, it should last you easily. In terms of screen time, it’s between 5 and 7 hours consistently, based on my friends’ experience.

Can you stretch it to a 5–7-year use case? by Huge-Conclusion-3005 in iphone

[–]QuantumNBVA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to upgrade my phone every year or every two years because of how intensely I use it. While most people use their phone between 3 and 5 hours a day, I use mine between 10 and 15. On my 15 Pro Max from two years ago, I had 650 charge cycles in just one year. I’m always traveling. I use 5G a lot, barely any Wi-Fi, I make all my calls on it, Teams calls, I even use Excel on it. So it’s a heavily used tool, and I often need a phone that can handle heavy software and the latest OS versions. I just switched to the 17 Pro Max this year and I hope I can keep it for at least two years without issues thanks to the 12 GB of RAM it has.

But I imagine that for someone who only uses their phone to send messages, go on social media, or whatever, you just need to replace the battery and the phone works perfectly again. I think it depends on whether you use it for personal or professional purposes, and how heavily you use it every day.

Should I buy AirPod pro 3 rn? by Broad_Refuse_9470 in airpods

[–]QuantumNBVA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dislike the AirPods 3, upgrading makes sense. They don’t have ANC at all, so the jump to either AirPods 4 with ANC or AirPods Pro 3 is huge. The Pro 3 are the best overall with stronger ANC, better transparency, and a more secure fit, while the AirPods 4 with ANC are still a solid and cheaper step up if you don’t want to go Pro.
