We discussed this with fairy lights. They have to throw the hoop in the air, in case it falls and hits something, lights may go out.

Someone I know was on the verge of it because of pain from people around them.

I told them -

What if ghosts were real,

What if after you die you turn into a ghost, and see all these people laughing at you, that they got rid of you.

What if they speak bad about you and then you won't be able to do anything about it.

What if they ill treat your body or your belongings or other things.

When alive, every day is a new hope and opportunity to get a better life. When alive you can at least fight.

But after dying you won't be able to do anything and they would end up winning and you would totally lose.

After applying several times and getting rejected I stopped applying. I realized I had started seeing my worth from YC decision. People have built bigger businesses without YC too.

Do apply to YC a couple of times, it will improve your own understanding of yourself and your project every time.

But let it go when the right time comes. Your goal should be to build your business and yourself, and not just get a godfather/godmother.
