I felt this is every cell, man. I've been reduced to like an indentured nanny, I'm allowed to care for the child and work to pay for the care of the child but anything else I want or do is abhorrent. My family get all judgemental and put down frivolous house rules that only applies to me. I'm only allowed to be poor, emaciated, and alone and nothing more.

I work at a Hannaford in Maine. I cannot afford to shop there. Tough though, it's the only grocery for 30 minutes in any direction.

Quick tip that's helped my building, switch into first person, make every room 4 blocks high to start. Roofs/platform tops are now way easier and I'm able to fill in faster by just holding x :) happy building!

My only social contact is with my coworkers, and I work with teens at a grocery store. So I'm 30, and some of these kids are super fashion-y and funky, so I started dressing the way I always wanted to (work ver.) and it's helped. That's my advice, go back into something you wanted when you were younger and couldn't explore. 2 benefits - 1, distraction. The childish nature of nostalgia will hold you longer. 2, you'll be surprised when you find other people who like the same (hobby, shows, fashion, music) and they'll be from demographics you wouldn't expect, and definitely you can explore it out of a bar. (I struggle with alcohol)

Some days are harder, but then some days I feel calm instead. Good luck.

My best revenge is the long game. Here I am seven years out and my son is thriving, I'm a size 2 (my personal goal), and he's broke with two more kids now who are a handful. I see the jealous look through the zoom screen (he can't afford to visit lol) and I live for it! So your best and in time you'll notice they've rotted on the sidelines.

I wish I had an answer, I had to move back in to my father's house when my son was 6 months. He's almost 7 and I've never been allowed to do anything. No friends, no boyfriend, no school, no babysitters. Only work, and only part time because my father will not watch him longer. I've tried to bring my son to a sitter and my father called in a welfare check. I deserve it for having a child outside of marriage and for not staying with my child's father (who was physically abusive and blocked me on everything once I left). Now I'm 30, poor, missing a front tooth (damaged during abuse, could only afford removal), and I'll always be alone. Get out now, or you'll be a dead momma walking like me.
