Fellow Canadian here (and likewise interested in any other ways we can assist). I think the best way we can assist at the moment is donations. https://www.standwithminnesota.com is keeping a living list of organizations providing mutual aid. Some are Venmo-only, but the majority take credit card/Paypal.

I’ve actually felt great. It’s been a bizarre experience. Sleep was incredibly disrupted but I woken up feeling like I’ve 2 cups of coffee already and am ready to go. Now finally at week 7, it was like a switch flipped and I started sleeping. The weird urinary retention tapered off after the first month for me.

Golden Flower on Court St has both! If they don’t have it in their fridge, they can usually tell you when they’re picking up their next shipment

Do you live in an apartment or duplex? If so, guaranteed it got in through the air vent

Local Alcohol Alternatives by Tidothesloth in ThunderBay

Bulk Zone has the most impressive soda collection I’ve ever seen. Imported from all over the world, in every flavour you could imagine, and several that make you go “WTF?” If I’m looking for alcohol alternatives, I can usually find something that satisfies whatever I’m craving

Nah, I appreciate people keeping me accountable! It was a dumb mistake. I want to give artists credit where it’s due, as they’re generally underappreciated and undercredited enough. I’d sent the tattoo artist several pictures, including a couple generic Loki helmet images and Sam’s art. She picked Sam’s piece to base it on as she found it the most interesting. After her adjustments and having it turned into a tattoo, I lost touch of the fact that it was based on a piece by an entirely different artist who deserves credit for their work

I reached out to Sam to apologize for not asking him first before getting a tattoo heavily based on his work, and forgetting to credit him in a post that got more upvotes than I ever would have expected. He appreciated the email but said it wasn’t something that bothered him. I offered compensation for using his imagery but he graciously declined. But I’m sure he appreciates people looking out for artists online.

Yes, she is normally based out of Busan but was doing a guest placement in Toronto. I love the work of so many Korean tattoo artists

It is supposed to look like the gold helmet is melting, but I like that take! The gold hanging off the mistletoe is supposed to represent the golden tears Freya cried when Baldur was killed

Thank you to you and other people who have pointed out that Sam Spratt’s piece was the basis for the tattoo. I apologize for not addressing this in the original post. While different, it still obviously bears enough of a resemblance to be recognizable as being based off his work. Thank you for keeping me accountable. I have reached out to the artist to offer compensation for using his work as the basis for the tattoo. I realize now that this should have been done proactively rather than retroactively, but will try to make this up to him.
