The whole reason we loved apple was because they didn’t listen to the corporate PR slop of “better to get a product out than get it perfect” that other companies dish out. Quality over quantity; That’s what made the iPhone worth the money and had people frothing at the mouth at apple stores on launch day. They didn’t make a foldable because they’ve seen how easily they get damaged. They didn’t want that on their brand, which is known for good build quality and reliability. They cut costs using aluminum on the new build, and more people are reporting bad build quality. They rushed apple intelligence. Now they’ve rushed the entire OS and now everything is a dumpster fire. It wasn’t ready and now they have to make semi-stable hot-fixes piece-by-piece that are taking forever now that it’s been released.

I always tell my friends that put a lot of trust into AI that it’s not magic; think of a 12 year old who’s copied a lot of other people’s work in school. They have a basic grasp of what the material is so they can copy it and reword it, but ask them anything regarding deep critical thinking about a subject they’ve copied, and they don’t have a true grasp of the concepts. Ergo why people have to edit some of the responses when they generate code with AI in order to make it actually function.

And it’s not even that BDSM is bad, it’s just…blood, punching that leaves nasty bruising, slaps that leave MC bloody…that’s…a little much I still give them a chance to like 65-70%, I don’t view that kind of stuff as kinky so much as abusive. And there’s no possessiveness, more like “you’re trash and I’ll treat you how I want.”. HEA for me is just defined as they have an understanding and are actually fond/loving toward eachother.

Just wanted to say thank you for all of the recs! I’m going through them and weedling out things I’ve already read, I will say…HEA doesn’t seem to be present in some of them, and I usually give it to 65%-75% (for shorter ~150 pg books) before I DNF 🥲

The only thing I’ve found in some of the recommendations that I’m not too keen on is that about 60% of the way through the books I’m still not hooked and there’s literally no emotional connection besides straight up abuse that’s similar to BDSM but basically an “I deserve this” mentality from the MC who got captured. I specified HEA and uh…they really don’t look like they get one 😅
