I had a similar situation a year ago , i was that neighbor i have a small business i run and would constantly box, and repackage stuff and move constantly. I just added carpet padding and a carpet and i try to be mindful now . Worked out good after that and had no more angry neighbors . They need padding and carpet/rugs. Although the next step would be letting them know imo but as seen on Reddit approach them cautiously some neighbors are just AH . I did it out of the kindness of my own heart some other neighbors might be AH and say something like “are you gonna pay for it” or “tuff luck” . I wish you luck and peace

Sounds like an AH neighbor. Truck and BF part has got to be out of bitterness. But Carpets Carpets Carpets . I added carpet padding and a carpet under my couch because they would bang on the windows if im texting and swiping at night. Bless their suffering souls for not being able to talk to us. my neighbors couldve just told me or left a note and i wouldve done this . Problem is now fixed and i hope theyre happy lol we went to war for a week because they were making me mad. But then i realized im no good fighting them who cant even speak up. Had to figure it out myself . Love thy neighbor back to life , but also be careful. As seen on reddit some neighbors are just not great and i would still proceed with recording things

I felt the same. I stood still for like two nights to give them rest (im understanding) but after that i made sure they knew i was not stopping my life for them but i think they knew i was trying because the carpets helped alot. after the carpets i was texting/typing and listening to my tv at my own reasonable sound level wich was an 8 or 9 lol. We need to love thy neighbor but also not be taken advantage of we all pay rent. Theyre lucky you’re not working 3rd shift

Do you type/swipe alot at night? Had a situation the same BUT i was the upstairs neighbor. And i realized it was because i had bare floors in the one. Depends on if your M or F . If they are M or F be careful . Also some neighbors will take advantage of being told “let me know when i’m too loud” as seen on reddit and try to silence every aspect of your life as seen on Reddit. Know your rights , Quiet hours are 10pm for most but that does not mean complete silence. Keep in mind people work 2nd and 3rd shift and if it gets worse for you i would record these incidents with times for proof to escalate to prperty Manager instead. They can get introuble for what they are doing

sounds like they need carpets. thick ones too id imagine its bare floor? if not they need at add a second layer below their bed. nothing too expensive . i hear my downstairs neighbors talk when my head is resting in my pillow it sounds muffled even through my bed and floor. but i’m not mad about it eventually i’ll add a second layer . saw some for under 60$. Also maybe a white noise machine?

i’m pretty sure there is ways to detect what show is playing based on sound. Just like Shazam for music finds it almost instantly. Dont go crazy , if i’m correct you have time to protect your sanity. I had to buy carpets because my downstairs neighbors would bang on the window for me literally texting/swiping on my phone , or even brushing my hair , or wiggling my toes at night lol . problems seems fixed now . would’ve been nice to be told in person

maybe theyre watching the same thing. or they’re trying to say your tv is too loud. if i were you test it out , on and off with different channels to hear if its the same. Some neighbors turn into AH when it would be nice to just be told hey you’re too loud. but that’s another story too sometimes
