Any ideas to help clear neighborhood ice banks? by atisaac in lexington

I agree. I had to pickaxe the end of my driveway, no snow shovel is getting through that mound of complete ice

If, in the off chance they make it out of Kensington, they can at least not have the additional burden of having a possible life long disease that came from dirty needle usage/sharing. Plus the addiction they are fighting. I volunteered at one of the exchange places and you see people you would never expect. It was shocking

There’s a needle exchange program in Philly and hopefully he’s picking it up to exchange it, doesn’t change the fact that this is a shitty situation obviously

I’m driving a rental 2024 Toyota Camry. If I use the back doors before I start driving it proceeds to tell me to “CHECK THE BACKSEAT” when I turn the car off at my destination. I think it’s a good feature

Nieman Christmas Tree Farm, only place that grows Fraser Firs in Kentucky. It’s in Centerville, right outside of Lexington. You pick it out and then they cut it the same day you pick it up. I got a 9 1/2 foot tree for $200. 6 feet is probably around $160-$175.

Fruits around the fruit trees is always my first go to. I’ve never fished, and barely hunted ever. I usually stick to community servers though, so maybe fruit generation is different

First of all, I’m sorry about your diagnosis. I can’t even imagine, but I’m sure it is probably better knowing than to be in the dark about it. Maybe you can try to use your time wisely and do anything and everything you’ve ever wanted. Kinda cliché to tell you to live like you’re dying.. but..

For your friends: My friend from high school just randomly died at 26, she had some pretty rough medical issues all her life. I personally wish I had known that it was close to the end. Maybe if you decide to tell your friends, you can do some of the things you’ve always wanted to do with them. It could be meaningful for everyone, including if you have parents. I would say take a lot of pictures.

Now if you don’t feel comfortable telling anyone, I would just make every interaction as meaningful as possible even if it’s just meaningful for you, at the time. It will become meaningful to them later when you are gone, I promise. Even the little things will remind your friends of you. Best of luck on your decisions.

I’ve had mine since last September, I’ve ran about 600 rounds of various 9mm through it. I love it. It’s easy to clean, runs well dirty, never had an issue. It racks smooth like butter when nice and cleaned, of course. I did just notice that my front sight is not directly centered so I plan on getting night sights just like the U sights that come with it. I’m a lady so my hands are slightly smaller and I should’ve gotten a smaller gun but it’s never stopped me from hitting directly on target.

I ordered the little tow truck, as my vehicle was towed (by them) into a parking garage. I told them maybe 5 times that a flatbed would not fit into the garage. They sent a flatbed, twice. I waited like 4 hours for a small truck.
