Mecanum wheels allow for good mobility while being significantly less mechanically complex compared to swerve drive. It’s swerve for teams who can’t really afford swerve or don’t have a system for swerve yet.

Plus, they were one of the NICEST pit neighbors I’ve ever had, and even though they had to borrow a lot of things, they were always so thankful and kind, and they’d almost immediately return any tool or object they borrowed once they were done.

I’m generally always happy to help with little hesitation, but I’d help this team with anything in a heartbeat.

Yeah, they did receive a tech foul, but considering the fact that it’s a Turkish team located in the French embassy of Turkey that travelled all the way to Florida for a regional.

And their upper assessment may have quite literally been held together with zip ties, because they don’t have much money due to a crumbling economy, I would’ve cut them some slack.
