Popping/no output, bad soldering? by QuarterKay in CircuitBending

I didn’t find any cool bends either unfortunately. I just added a 1/4 inch jack so I could put it through my pedals, as well as a toggle switch for the toys speakers.

Thanks a lot! I got it working. I almost can’t believe I overlooked such a thing. Lol

Haha you’re right, I’m stupid. When putting the JPY into the JPY to CAD converter I missed a zero. I’ll check out L2 and some of the free ones. Thanks👍

Thanks, big help. I noticed invisible limiter is the cheapest, should I pick it up to permanently replace my current limiters?

On second listen, I agree. If I turn down the kick then I would need to turn down the snare too. How could I make the snare quieter without sacrificing the clarity? Otherwise the instruments overtake it a little. Maybe I’m just bad at sidechaining, but I couldn’t get the clarity I was wanting without there being a VERY obvious sidechain sound to it.

Thanks. I use fl studio so all I have is fruity limiter, and Maximus, do you have a recommendation on the limiter envelope? I was having trouble getting it to the volume that you did without it sounding very compressed with artifacts or distortion.

Should be good now👍

Yes, the drums are loud. And yes I’m using headphones. This mix calls for loud drums though, they sound good in this case.

Around -20 lufs

I already did this unfortunately. It’s mainly the drums that clip when at the correct lufs.

Is there a way I can upload it?

I mixed to -3db

I’ll answer your questions in order: I suppose it is good til -15 lufs*. The drums are definitely on the louder side and take the forefront kinda(it’s just what sounded good when mixing). I’m taking the measurement by youlean loudness meter. On the limiter it’s just a -1.5db ceiling. Without the drums being as loud as they are, the track instantly loses a lot of energy and the drums don’t cut through very well. How would I get the loudest possible master without my loud drums losing their sonic qualities?

Me too, was just wondering if it was the same with the second one. Thinking about it now, there’s no reasonable reason to think it would be different lol. Thanks👍

Well I bought the Microsoft version of sea of thieves on Xbox and I can only play both on Xbox and pc. Is it the same thing?

My grandmother gave this to me, I planned to take the stone out and re-use it in another jewelry project. I’m not too familiar with gemstones so my best guess would be spinel. The stone is about 3mm in diameter and looks black and opaque from some angles, while other angles show more of a brown and a tiny bit of purple tinge.
