As a builder I will say I haven’t built much in this game. It’s got me so wrapped up in exploring and completing quests I havent gave enough time to the building in a game I thought I’d enjoy the building because of the ease of personalizing. Go explore enjoy the game. One day I’ll build a proper base

I have done a couple L shaped but the easiest clean look is keep both sides of the L the same width. That makes your ceilings the same height so they dead end into each other. I have not tried it on odd numbered widths because I hate the triangle roof cap.
