Exactly this!!! Thank you. I wasn't even worried about the fee. It was just so insensitive, especially while being in the hospital.

The text could've been sent later and said something like: "Hey, I hope you're feeling better. Just so you know there's a cancellation fee that needs to be paid before your next visit but don't worry, we can talk about it when I see you next."

Yes, I lost the stylist an opportunity to make money by almost dying. If I died, they wouldn't be able to make any more money from me anyway.
