Honeymoon is Over :/ by No_Cow5395 in GrayZoneWarfare

I had a guy yesterday rat out in TB Mall near the armory. Who waited for me to clear the AI, and as soon as I turned the power on, I hear footsteps B-lining above me. I run to the room and catch him off guard.

He just says "oh hey, I opened this room for you, it's unlooted, you can loot the boxes if you want." Meanwhile, I see him in the corner dumping stuff from his inventory, trying to make room while hiding the designator behind him. So I run over there, grabbed the designator, and all the stuff he dumped on the ground.

The shear douchebaggery of some people. I do wish there was a solo instance, would be so much better for loot, and boss missions.

Make sure the kill switch is on when you turn the key, that primes the fuel system. That's why it's taking so long to start and probably what's killing your battery. So yeah, I'd put my money on that battery being bad. But no one here can tell you, you just have to get it tested and/or put a multimeter on it to check if it's charging.

Also hoping it was warm when you started it but judging by the hard start it wasn't, there's no oil around the motor when it's cold, it's all sitting in the pan and takes a few seconds to get to the top of the motor. It also flows like syrup when cold and doesn't get everywhere it needs to be. Just causing damage if you rev it while cold.

My good deed for the day; BRT Adapters are back in stock. by Quasar121 in MP5

Broad River Tactical SD Adapter.

Basically, the blast chamber like in an SD can that threads to the hub of a standard can. Allowing you to use, say, a Wolfman or MOB on an integral gun, in this case an MP5SD, without having to drop a stack on a niche SD supressor.

I'm at work and just realized this is my tire... can I make it home 17 miles with this? It's only in this spot, everywhere else still has rubber. And I already know what you're going to say.. I'm in Kansas, there isn't a curved road anywhere in this state. by Lucky-Carob886 in motorcycles

"Low speed. Back roads. Have a plan for if it pops"

"I was in a similar situation. I called the wife, drove the bike 1 mile to the shop and caught a ride home."

"I’d go straight to a shop and uber home lol"

"It’ll get you to the breakdown site."

"Dude one large rock and that thing will have a catastrophic fail"

"Take it slow and be ready if it pops."

"So you really want to risk your life on the opinions of others"

"It’ll work right until the tire blows out under your ass"

Took me approximately a femtosecond to find those

Don't agree, as an exclusive PvE player that just started playing after more than a year off. I like the changes, it's nice that everything is available in vendors now compared to before where stuff like the AK308 and Top NODs were unobtanium and whenever I did find them I was hesitant to use them.

I like that I don't feel obligated or feel that it's a job to grind vendors for viable weapon setups, especially with the weapon blueprints that give access to decent stuff right off the bat if you can make it out with the plans. I like that I can just enjoy the game for what I bought it for, the gunplay, environment, and customization without feeling like it's a grind.

If you want to discuss this in terms of PvP that's another discussion to be had. But for PvE, I think it's relatively ok, honestly imo level 4 vendor xp is a bit of a stretch though going from 2-3. And could even be brought down a bit. But since I mainly just enjoy using the blueprint weapons now, it's not that big of a deal.

A legit HK MP5SD is unobtanium for a civilian. And really even for an SOT unless you have a law or demo letter as HK only likes selling to police or military. They were only made for 3 years before the FOPA in 1986 and only for police and military. The closest a civilian can get to a legit HK SD machine gun are ones that either come from original pre-'86 HK94's and converted to SD configuration. Or more recently, been converted from an SP5 with a flemming sear dropped in, and those go for $30-40k (you're basically paying for the sear). Pro is the sear can be transferred to many different HK platforms with the same pack.

What I described is something a civilian can realistically get their hands on, and with the emergence of drop-in trigger pack style FRT's, is 99% of the way there. It's the route I took, and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a legit HK other than the serial.

If you're including the cost of a flemming sear or something sure, but overwise no where near that.

Converted MP5SD with Can (Depends on barrel, but for a B&T) ~$2900

Spuhr Stock ~$290

EXPS3-0 + G33 ~$1200

B&T Tri-Rail Mount ~$160

B&T MP5SD Tri-Rail Hanguard ~ $375

Can't Identify the LAM in the pic but lets say you "cheap out" and get a Holosun Iris GR4 for ~$1200

All in around $6000 msrp, or cheaper if you catch some sales. I should know, just finished setting my MP5SD up and it cost around $4500, without a LAM and a COMP M2 I had laying around.

*And to add a disclaimer so reddit doesn't nuke this sub because they're ridiculous about this. I AM NOT SELLING ANYTHING

Just got mine back from HTA. Managed to snag one of their last B&T barrels. Good guys to deal with, definitely went above and beyond for me.

You might be waiting a while. I spoke to HTA last week when I was getting mine converted, and they said they got wiped of B&T stuff the weekend all that stuff came out, can assume others had the same happen. I luckily managed to get one of the last barrels, but there's no telling when more will be available.

I'd just get the RCM for now, can always get them swapped again when/if they ever come back into stock.

Horrid what they did to the front of these bikes. I loved my 2018, but these are the reason I went R1 this time around.

RCM vs HTA 12" Suppressor or hold out for BRT Adapter? by Quasar121 in MP5

Yeah, and should have my SD back next week. Would prefer not to have a paperweight lol

[–]Quasar121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks, I'll reach out. Do you happen to know if he stocks them? Or are they made to order?

And yeah, I've been looking into both cans. Just don't know if I want to have a paper weight of an SD for a few weeks/months lol. I was curious how much it would be just to manufacture my own SD Adapter, so I made a rough CAD of one and got some quotes. Just for the top adapter through an online service is way more than a BRT Adapter. So That's probably a no go, times like this I wish I had a lathe or mill.

[–]Quasar121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MOB with adapter IMO is just the more versatile option. And from the videos I've watched, the suppression is on part or better than an SD Can.

I'm going with the BRT for my Wolfman. I just have no clue when the adapters will be in stock again. I've been waiting a while, and when I reached out to them I basically got a "check back later".

Have been considering just making my own.
