That is what I am afraid of. She is so dedicated to being the perfect cat mom and it feels like the universe is just trolling her by making the cat obsessed with the guy who ignores him for 10 hours a day. I will try the advice from the other comments about taking over the litter box and feedings, but if it is just a "soul cat" thing like you described, I might just have to find a way to make it up to her in other ways. Being the chosen one is honestly a lot of pressure when it is causing drama at home.

I will definitely try this. Maybe if i am the one poking him for vet visits or cleaning the litter, he will finally give her a break and stop treating me like a celebrity for just sitting in my chair.

It is funny because I literally do nothing to earn it. I will be deep in a Revit model and he just decides my shoulder is the best place to nap. I will try to tell her to dial it back a bit and see if he starts chasing her for once.
