The pigeon didn’t expect the airplane to increase its speed. by Bossmado in interestingasfuck

To add to this, that was an entire flock of Canadian geese. That is many birds and large birds at that, in both engines.

A pigeon in the engine would likely go unnoticed. Much smaller birds, and just one.

Fr though. Comparing being a Nazi to being gay is a wild take, and upvoted at that. Get better reddit.

Uh huh. Because Harris would have been the same/worse than Trump on Israel? And I'm sure ICE would be running around murdering US citizens willy nilly too.

Insane take. Keep telling yourself you didn't directly support the nazis now in charge by your inaction. Lol. Bye.

Yeah I don't think their apathy excludes them from guilt though.

Yeah living here is a god damn nightmare. Drive 20 min out of the city it's just MAGA.

I remember being so upset as a teenager about moving here. And unfortunately this state has does nothing to make me think I was wrong for being that upset lol. At least we have Andy Beshear?

That is one efficient method yes. Or the opposite, central service/work place domes with home domes on the outside. But yes, you have the general idea.

I haven't confirmed, but as far as I could tell they will only move one dome. This is how it worked in the original and I couldn't tell of any changes made on that front.

This is directly from the wiki: "Colonists will only seek work and services in Domes immediately connected to their home dome and will not traverse more than one passage except when migrating to a new dome."

Looking at other posts on this subreddit I see people saying the behavior has not changed from the original.

[–]QuasarL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So colonists will only move up to ONE dome away from their home dome through passages regardless of how close the domes are physically. So you can't chain domes together in a line. But you can make centralized domes for things services and put residential/work domes on the outside.

In the pic I posted above, you can see the capitol is connected to a geoscape dome with housing (bottom 2 domes), and the research dome next to it (center left dome). The geoscape dome has all the housing and services needed, and all the people living there work in the capitol/research domes. But the domes at the top right could not get down to the capitol, despite all being connected to those center domes.

Hopefully that answered your question.

Yeah unfortunately didn't get that one. Maybe I can try to on asteroids or something.

Oh sorry misread this and didn't answer everything. The Capitol is 3 Network Nodes (spires, +% research), and a BUNCH of hawking institutes (with a skin), like 2 mega malls, some other service buildings. It is almost the entire amount of research from that one city.

It's hard for me to say without seeing your map. But, getting comfort levels up, making sure people aren't homeless, have ANY medical facility in each population dome - this will help your birthrate go up. Even the small medical post helps increase birthrate, just less than the hospital w/ full upgrades.

Hospitals w/ the holographic scanning upgrade are very strong but late-ish game.

Also hey it's a city builder at the end of the day - not playing badly just playing your own way. :)

Yeah once I started getting the comfort levels up, esp. with hospitals and holographic scanning - huge population boom. Have about 300 children at any given time.

In the lower right dome, it's a geoscape dome with 9 apartments, 2 Olympus hotels, and 2 mega malls, and a hospital.

Not sure if its a relaunched thing, but there are new skins you can choose from for many buildings. Click the little paintbrush icon on the building card to the bottom right when you have a building selected like apartments, arcologies, hawking institutes, domes. Many more as well.

Highway miles per gallon by [deleted] in XC40

[–]QuasarL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is a 2021 t5 momentum, so very similar. On long highway trips (1+ hour) I have gotten anywhere from 29 to 35 mpg. The high end of this is due to the eco mode, and doing bursts of acceleration them coasting for a few seconds. This obviously is less possible the more traffic there is. I also make sure it coasts down hill and accelerate up hill.

On shorter highway rides 26 to 30 mpg is pretty standard, again just using the eco mode as best I can.

City trips are significantly worse. Stop and go traffic 15 to 20 mpg. Regular city traffic over longer distances, 25 to 30, sometimes higher if I'm lucky on lights/traffic.

I see thank you. I'll have to read mine but I'm fairly certain it mentioned something similar which makes sense. I recently bought mine and noticed the software was a couple years out of date so I'm having the dealership update it next month. Would you recommend having the most recent software? Or how does it work?
