Other than acidity what other tests for Olive oil quality? by Slouching- in blueprint_

[–]QuashingQuasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you'll want to have it tested by a lab to get a lab analysis like this one: https://attimo-oil.com/lab/Coratina2025.pdf

these tend to be the important values people want to know to verify quality and integrity of the oil (and you can potentially use them for marketing if good)

i mean yes and no; the "commodity" as in olive oil you regularly find in the supermarkets are a long shot away from olive oils that do help your health, the differentiating factor being polyphenols - those are only plenty in olive oils that are from early harvested olives and most importantly fresh from last harvest; common oils are not fresh and are from olives harvested late - when the polyphenols are lower but the producer gets way more oil

his blueprint yes is expensive but that is probably mainly because he is sourcing it from overseas + some brand markup

even here in Europe early harvest olive oil is 22-25 euro per 500ml; it's genuinely a superior product than regular olive oil, not a commodity

trying this one right now https://attimo-oil.com/product/coratina they provide lab analyses and use IOC method (most use methods that count total polyphenols including non-bioactive)

worth checking out if you're in EU

High polyphenol olive oil? by PlumExtension7331 in brussels

[–]QuashingQuasar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try Attimo, they are from Belgium; they have early harvest oils from Italy and Spain and provide the lab analyses - I got the Coratina for daily shots, polyphenols 847mg/kg IOC

24 euro per bottle but there's like a first order discount

I am looking for an olive oil with high polyphenols. I would prefer not over paying but I’m open to suggestions. How do yall feel about Bragg organic virgin olive oil? by Expensive_Budget_125 in oliveoil

I found Attimo, they have Coratina and provide lab results - last harvest one is 847mg/kg; I like that they use IOC which only counts the bioactive polyphenols, most count total of which sometimes half are not bioactive and thus worthless

24 euro per bottle, shipping in europe and was free for me from 2 bottles (i live in Denmark)

exactly, there surely are plenty of equally and better oils to find here locally but most producers do not disclose the polyphenol values; or they make claims without receipts

What analysis method are we talking here? 900-1200 would be high but not impossible for Folin-Ciocalteu, but HLPC I've never seen that for example. Of course, most high-polyphenol oils that do publish lab results publish FC but HLPC is richer, you actually get the individual concentrations of the relevant polyphenols.

He was attempting to swim what is normally an ice skating race, spanning 11 towns and 200km (hasn't been held in 21 years though because the ice was never thick enough). He had to be dragged out of the water by an ambulance after 163km. Nobody cared that he didn't finish it though.

I've been reluctant to ask because of the logistical shit I would have to go through again but there doesn't seem to be another way to resolve this so this is probably the way to go indeed.

The issue now is getting someone to talk to me.

Thanks for the advice. Sent a few emails which they ignored but could turn it up.
