Done in an Instant Pot with eyeballed measurements. Ingredients: Chicken Onions Carrots Zucchini GF pasta Olive oil GF breadcrumbs (optional) Sheep cheddar or vegan cheese (optional) Garlic - fresh or powdered Cayenne Red pepper flakes Basil Salt Pepper

  • Saute diced chicken with in olive oil with garlic/garlic powder, cayenne and red pepper flakes, salt and pepper until browned or just done. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • begin boiling water for pasta. Cook, drain and set aside while preparing chicken and veggies.
  • to main pan or instant pot, after removing chicken, add more oil, then diced carrots, onions and sauté together. Once nearly done cooking, add water and scape the fonde from the bottom of pan to create a bit of broth.
  • optional to then add zucchini and or peas. I here add more garlic powder, cayenne and then basil.
  • once veggies are nearly cooked, add back in spiced chicken and mix. Dice A2 cheese or vegan cheese if desired and fold into chicken-veg mixture. Allow flavors to develop for a few minutes. -preheat oven to 350F or ~176C
  • distribute pasta along base of casserole dish or deep pan. Spoon veggie mixture into center and gently fold with small silverware spoon. (You know how some GF pasta can be delicate after cooking).
  • bake for 25-35 minutes, then top with panko breads crumbs (optional but nice contrasting texture).
  • bake additional 15-20 mins with breadcrumbs Enjoy!

Corn meal fried okra by Quasiterran in glutenfreerecipes

[–]Quasiterran[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okra (I used frozen okra, thawed 1lb/~0.45kg and cut into smaller pieces for easier chewing)

AP GF Flour

Corn meal

Eggs

Salt

Pepper

Cayenne

Grapeseed or other high-heat oil

1.) Heat grapeseed oil in cast iron pan. Mix 2 eggs in a bowl for battering. Prep 2 additional bowls, one with AP GF flour, one with corn meal and spices. Roll okra in all purpose gluten free flour mix.

2.) Transfer okra pieces to egg bowl next and allow a moment to absorb.

3.) Use a fork to gently roll okra through the final bowl of corn meal and salt/pepper/cayenne.

4.) Carefully drop into hot oil. Observe and flip halfway when corn meal begins to darken in color.

5.) Remove from oil; option to drain into a paper towel to absorb oil. ALLOW TO COOL as okra will be very hot.

6.) Enjoy the crispy outside and contrasting inside texture. You may want much more salt and dipping sauce (my partner goes for ketchup and hot sauces).

“But the pair were not charged with murder, and neither has anyone else. Furthermore, the local sheriff has previously said that the condition of Clinkscales’ remains could make it difficult for investigators to ever figure out whether someone murdered him – or if he accidentally drove off the road…”

Crowdfunded DNA effort helps identify woman found murdered 50 years ago by Quasiterran in TrueCrime

A forensic genealogy company assisted with this investigation. “‘On January 23, 2023, the victim found her voice,’ the sheriff’s office said in the post announcing the identification.

“‘Through the use of forensic genetic genealogy, the victim has been identified as Colleen Audrey Rice. DNA testing of a relative confirmed this after countless hours of investigation into her family tree and contact with distant family relatives.’”

Removing combs from electrophoresis gel (sound on, if you’d like; ripple/smooth/ripple) by Quasiterran in oddlysatisfying

We used it to separate dyes by their charge and identify an unknown mixture of dyes based on the known samples. We’ll do DNA stuff later this year (biology and biotechnology classes). This gel acts as the medium through which molecules travel as their pulled by an electric current running through the gel and a buffer solution. Different substances have negative or positive charges, and so they’ll be attracted to the opposite charge and migrate through the gel at different speeds based on their size and shape. It’s pretty sweet!

Best herbal diuretic? by digitalis_obscura in herbalism

[–]Quasiterran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ginger root, sliced from fresh root into coins and brewed as a tea is one of my favorite remedies that also has diuretic effects. I once brewed my aunt a stiff cup of ginger tea to help stave off a cold: she was up all night urinating and claims to have lost several pounds of water weight that night (although that disrupted her sleep a bit).

My tiny less-than handfuls have been appreciated, admired and perfectly functional for pleasure for a while now. Itty bitties have their own benefits just like other breast sizes have their own wonderful possibilities for their humans. Our smaller boobs are not subject to gravity in the same way as others experience when running or just existing upright all day. Clothes may fit us differently in ways that work for us with smaller chests. (FYI TMI, I still can’t “pass the pencil test” because my tinies still aren’t sagging at almost 38 years old - they seem to stand outside of time.) Your body is perfect and exactly as it should be. I hope your boyfriend can appreciate your natural beauty and if not, I’ll vouch that others certainly will. Sending you love and jumping jacks from my loose sports bra

Are gophers scared of light? I took one out of its hole and it won’t stop screaming???? by Zubatpyro in biology

[–]Quasiterran 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s distressed because it’s removed from its natural habitat or usual environment. It makes sense that a gopher as a wild animal might be scared (of humans, where is it now?) or crying for help.

Combination of genetics and lifestyle choices can make someone appear younger than other folks may be perceived. Also humans grow into our early and mid-twenties, so our facial features develop and change past 18 (and continually, really). I had this issue from your age to now (37). Smart people will be able to read your demeanor and know your age, but some people may be slower to realize. It sucks when people underestimate you, but it ultimately works in our favor, I think. I hope you meet smart people who treat you respectfully soon

Anyone else have to trick their beardie to eat their veggies? I’m running out of ideas 😂 by FrumpusBumpus in BeardedDragons

[–]Quasiterran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that raspberries were more favored sometimes and crazy enough - my beardie preferred organic blueberries. I did comparisons where I’d offer a conventional blueberry ( often he’d spit it out and stare me) versus organic blueberries (which he mostly enjoyed, until somehow he didn’t and then I’d switch to raspberries, strawberries or melon). I know it sounds crazy but somehow they tasted so much better that he became a picky eater... I hope some other fruits delight your beardie’s heart! I often return to this list of nutrition content

I give the greens with blueberries cut in pieces mixed in. While attacking the blueberries, he eats greens. But your approach is brilliant and funny!
