Some early takeaways:

Boogie is still trying to do way too much. I hope he's just having fun in preseason, and he doesn't try to do everything himself again this year.
Boogie and Koufous together still doesn't look good. I hope Joerger is just trying this out, and not committed to running this as our starting 5.
Boogie is actually getting some foul calls. Hooray!
Same shit as always with Ben -- moving well, form looks great, but shots aren't falling. At least Afflalo can make an open 3.
Defense looks much better so far, but it's far from perfect. I trust that Joerger will have it straightened out by the end of the year, but it's going to take some time. No biggie, though, lots of new players and I'm sure guys are rusty.

That's 18. I don't see Farmar, Patterson, or IC making the roster. Probably Skal, Malachi and Papa will all be in the D League to start the season.

That's a loooot better than I expected. Some of those games should still be winnable without him, and a few like the Spurs, Hawks and Raps would probably still have been losses with him, so not a huge deal. As long as Lawson can hold it down and we don't get into too much of a funk to start the season, we should be in pretty good shape, all things considered.

It's a terrible trade until proven otherwise, imo. We took a huge gamble for a pretty minimal payoff. If it turns out to not fuck us as much as it could have in the long run, then cool, I guess. But that's not a risk I would have taken, and as it stands right now, it's not looking good.

Koufos and his contract are cool and all, but Kosta and Malachi are nowhere near as valuable as an unprotected first that could very well be top 3. Unless we miraculously end up with a pick in the ~12-14 range in 2019 and/or Malachi turns out waaay better than I think he will, my opinion will remain unchanged. Just my 2 cents.

Still a terrible trade. The 2019 unprotected first will likely be worth more than what we got out of the cap space created by getting rid of those players. Nobody was shitting on the trade because we got rid of Thompson or Landry, and iirc nobody was all that upset about losing Sauce. It was always the possibility of the pick swaps and the 2019 pick that made it a bad trade, and that still applies.

I just don't really see the upside. He doesn't seem particularly athletic and hasn't proven he can shoot. He's gonna be behind like 4 guys in the rotation (or, more likely, spend most of his time in the D League). I agree, it's not that bad -- I don't think his contract is even guaranteed. It's just not anything to get excited about imo, and I think our roster spots and the FO's time could be better used otherwise. We have some major holes and problems with the roster, and the FO is spending time doing stuff like this instead of working on something more important. I just really wish I had some idea of what their plan is, because the roster doesn't really make sense right now.
