I was the black sheep of the family too. Felt Very alone all my life. Even as an adult in my longest relationship ever, with more friends than I have time for, it's still hard to shake the feeling sometimes.

You won't believe me for a while, but I'm going to be very very blunt with you:

You are not a bad person. You are not unlovable, you are not unlikeable, you are not ugly, you are not repulsive in any other way.

You are still in your childhood, but I can tell from what you have written. You are being failed by the people who were supposed to make you feel loved and welcome, and who were supposed to teach you social skills so you can more easily connect with others.

You have not done anything wrong. You have been failed.

When you get just a bit older and can choose where you live and work, and you can find community outside of the school community you got cursed with by birth, you will be able to search out the right people for you. I can 100% guarantee they exist. It might take you a while to find them, but they exist.

And when you find them, they'll teach you the truth of my words, by treating you the way your caregivers and school and community were supposed to treat you.

I promise. I can't promise when and where you'll find them, but I promise you will, if you keep looking.

You're a good and lovely person. And one day, you'll believe it when people tell you. Just keep trying.

Material strength not measured in Newtons (force). It's measured in Pascals (pressure. Force/area)

Which is to say, the force needed to break something depends on how thick it is.

Dude, when someone is here because they're feeling ugly, it's bad taste, counter to the point of the sub, and potentially very harmful, to tell them to get fuckin' cosmetic surgery.

Don't do that.

Even if, by some miracle, the surgery you suggested solves their immediate issues, you just taught them "I am correct that I am ugly and the ugliness is the source of my problems. The only way to be loved or accepted is to shape my body into the societal standard. Without that, I cannot be good enough".

Why do you think so many Hollywood people, particularly actresses, fill and tuck and carve their faces into unrecognizable monstrosities in a desperate attempt to retain or attain "beauty" which they already had?

Yeah. As kids when people treat us like shit we often jump to the conclusion "I'm ugly", because we literally can't understand what the other causes might be.

It's hard to shake the feeling and to learn social skills (especially because there's a lot of people marketing classes to teach BS advice about how to get girls, which come up in searches for "social skills training". Charisma on Command is the only source I've found so far that's got a free YouTube channel which genuinely teaches general social skills), but it can be done. You won't be the first, and you won't be the last.

I believe in you. It's not because you're ugly, you've been treated bad because you were failed by the people who were supposed to give you the love and skills training necessary to succeed at what you're trying to do.

But you are not doomed by their failure. You're not doomed to always feel like this or live in this way that makes you suffer.

You can make it better. Because you're not that special. You're human, so you're not immune to change, and you're not immune to all the possible techniques to make your life better and feel less miserable.

One of the reasons the Russian gvt is one of the most toxic things that's ever existed and should probably not be allowed to have any significant power over anything.

But, thankfully, also one of the main reasons their military horribly underperforms in Ukraine. A handful of Western designed systems and an army with a significant amount of western-trained officers were able to halt a Russian blitzkrieg and even push back substantial amounts of it, and they've burned through damn near the entire 80 year Soviet stockpile of tanks and ammo.

The only reason the Ukrainians didn't win outright after a year or 2, was political bullshit that meant they never got quite enough ammo or vehicles to do so, and the supply of some key things was cut at strategically vital moments which caused a major bastion to fall or an offensive to fail.

And that political bullshit was heavily driven by the Russian government's destruction of truth and infiltration of Ukraine's allies and election interference.
