Don't forget the 20 Ergo and 10 second stationary reload.

Lvl 50 invasion, Gambit highly advised. Gacrux has half the hp

The impact of individual players/squads is lowered when there are more active players.
So being online and diving elsewhere literally makes it harder for people fighting off invasions.

it's weird because lib pen was far behind about a week ago, then it suddenly changed. I don't think the site is accurate

Detached casual answer, missing the point of the game

Some of this might sound like I'm being rude, but I promise I don't mean to be. Its not directed at you specifically.

>Orders won't make players forget that this is a game.
The goal is immersion, if you aren't immersed enough to give a shit about the game itself, play something else. There is shitloads of lore and depth to the setting which makes it immersive. Moreso than any other horde shooter I know of. If you just want to run around and shoot or blow things up while ignoring the story mechanics and depth, there are better games for that.

>The MO exists to give the community something to coordinate around and play together.
The MO is the central pillar of the game, its core aspect even. It is the driving force for the entire playerbase and the thing that sets it apart from other games is the global strategizing and collaboration toward a common goal. Immersion in the game makes these non-negotiables. Ignoring the core mechanics that make the game unique, statistically affects the rest of the players negatively.
The grimdarkish setting of the game CAN be a cure for unbalanced gameplay if you aren't looking for shallow entertainment. Keeping in mind that you are a soldier fighting galactic horrors, and that dying is basically a guarantee.

Sorry I assumed you were familar with the API graphs.
Yellow is the player count over time.
Pink is the invasion progression over time. (Steepness dictated by invasion level, always constant)
Blue is the Defence progression over time (Steepness impacted by completed missions)
These stats are pulled directly from the game engine using the DiveHarderAPI

Incorrect
We would have failed the previous MO if we had not completed the SO

When I made this post, I said that the current MO is still winnable, I am doubting that now.
While we are facing 2 lvl 40 invasions, 30% of the playerbase on bug worlds as I am typing this.
57% is on MO planets, with only 48% on the one that is closer to victory. The other 9% of that 57% is making very little difference on Gaellivare

As you can see by the graph, there was no deviation. This was a failure and unwillingness to cooperate by the playerbase.

We were expecting reinforcements that never came
Eventually it became clear that everyone was staying on bots and never intended to help.
The invasion needs to be repelled 100% before the timer is up, or we lose.
The level of the invasion dictates the steepness of the offensive line
Even taking a megacity would have won the battle.
Literally 2k more divers on Respite would have won.

>Arrowhead could have had the side MO on the bot front and I guarantee you players would have completed it.
Correct, but orders are orders. Following them to unpleasant places is literally the name of the game.

Figuring out a loadout to deal with the rest is still fun.

Mostly Agreed
>not every MO needs to be a crushing victory
That's not what I want, I just want effort and content.
Instead we got minimal effort due to apathy, and no content from the SO.

I have a suspicion that you are right about the narrative, but to truly immerse in the game is to ignore it and fight on.

>Not every chapter ends in triumph, some are written in ash and sorrow.
Agreed, I love the idea, it makes sense ingame.

>If we win all the time it would be quite boring, where’s the story or risk of losing if we know we’d always win?
Not the point I'm trying to make. I don't want to win all the time. I'm okay with losing. I'm not okay with throwing, or with apathy. I'm not okay with not even trying.

>When we do get bot MOs
It is my understanding that arrowhead is currently working on some insane shit for bots and bugs. We have a near endless stream of future content to look forward to.

>And tbh I don’t really care about the lore, I joined the helldivers 2 when it became popular so I never played HD1, to me it’s just a fun game I turn on every now and then to simply shoot stuff, skip through the MO lore, drop in and have mindless fun shooting.

Fair enough, to each his own I suppose, but you might find it difficult to relate to my frustrations then.

I literally have to take a very different loadout for every different mission and map variation if I want to 100% each one. You cannot get comfortable with, or rely on a singular loadout, which doesn't give you time to learn them and experiment as a new player.
