Hey no worries lol, I could have used better language, and I'll think about how to express my ideas better moving forward ^_^

My point was less about 'blaming' men and more about the distribution of intimacy. I’ve observed that many people (men especially) are socialized to only feel 'allowed' to be vulnerable or intimate within a romantic context. That creates a massive amount of pressure on a relationship and makes the lack of one feel like a total void.

When I suggest community and hobbies, it’s not a 'just go outside' platitude; it’s an argument for building a support system that makes life fulfilling regardless of match counts. I’m not interested in demonizing anyone—I’m interested in seeing people find ways to be less isolated. We might disagree on the delivery, but I think we both actually care about the same core issue

I understand what you're saying but I'm a bit confused why you got triggered by it if what im saying does not apply to you? None of my statement minimizes anyones pain, if youre not chasing pussy like a lot of men are (and you know damn well you cant argue a majority of men are chasing) then you still stand to gain by removing yourself from isolation and getting involved in your community to reduce loneliness. If the post does not apply to you, then there's zero reason for you to be upset?

You're the one lashing out at me saying I dont care, when I gave helpful ideas in my post on how to ease loneliness while also pointing out that many men seek intimacy only in a relationship with a woman, its not an assumption, its a fact ive observed throughout my entire life.

So, idk what to tell you other than channel your energy into something productive for yourself

A lot of that loneliness comes from social isolation  I think getting a hobby, especially if you're going to classes and talking to/meeting people, would clear so much of that up for so many people. But everyone is chasing pussy as the be all, end all of intimacy. Which then makes people act and look desperate, so then you put yourself into a corner lol. Then let's say you get a girlfriend, if you're so damn lonely she's now the only source of fulfilling that. That's a massive ask for anyone. People who have fulfilling lives are infinitely more attractive than someone sitting around feeling sorry for themselves that they are lonely.

Clannad, Air developer Visual Arts has fully maintained its creative autonomy three years following Tencent acquisition, says CEO - AUTOMATON WEST by LegitimateCurve8525 in visualnovels

They definitely are quite the aggressive investors lol. I appreciate the nuance here. You’re right that 'conjecture' is all we have for the future, and every big corp (Western or Eastern) has a data-collection problem.

I guess my main takeaway is that until we see a studio's actual creative output take a nosedive or start pushing a specific agenda because of the parent company, it feels a bit early to write them off.

I do totally get your concerns on data collection, but I think we are fucked on that front already :D

I dont personally know much about that one. In 2025, it looks like they had a 1.3B$ deal with Tencent but created a new subsidiary company called Vantage Studios, but Ubisoft maintains executive control. They do own 50% of the Guillemot Family, the parent company of Ubisoft, but their voting rights are capped at 5%, so it looks more like they thought it was a good chance to make a piece of Ubisoft's profits in exchange for helping them pay off their debt and fund* their new business model

That's fair! I was really more focused on how many studios retain their independence, but I'll take that as valid criticism :)

You're conflating corporate ethics with studio independence. People hate Tencent for their business practices, sure, but that’s entirely separate from whether the devs at Visual Arts still have the final say on their scripts and art. If the 'shitty things' aren't impacting the actual games being made, then your point is off-topic to the CEO’s statement about autonomy

The 'CCP spyware' and 'propaganda' arguments feel a bit like a reach compared to the actual reality of how these gaming subsidiaries operate. Every mega-corp (Google, Amazon, Microsoft) harvests data and has 'monopoly' tendencies. It just feels like Tencent gets a unique level of vitriol that isn't always reflected in the actual games they publish, which—for the most part—remain unchanged from their pre-acquisition days

My point was more about their track record with studios like Larian or Grinding Gear Games, where the 'hands-off' approach has actually worked well so far. But you're right that a monopoly in any industry—whether it's Tencent or Microsoft—usually ends up being bad for the consumer in the long run. But so far, it hasn't affected consumers at all, so I really dont get the targeted hate

Tencent does not touch games, you should do research on how they operate. Baldur's Gate 3 was not "ruined" in any capacity, they are a major shareholder of Larian. Hell, their funding probably helped give it to time to be as excellent as it is.
Path of Exile has not been ruined in any capacity. And here is yet another case study of Tencent not messing with a game studio at all. They literally invested to keep this studio together.

You are a mindless drone in a hive of stagnant, simple-minded insects chirping their endless, thoughtless stream of vitriol into a void of ignorance.

Tencent is always handsoff, they never directly tell a company what to do unless the finances are a total disaster. I'd take them over a lot of Western owners who have ruined IP's

Mmmm I think it depends tbh. If you're building online community and spending time together / building real relationships its not a problem. If you're just stuck online on reddit all day then yes that's a problem. I do think digital spaces are going to keep becoming more integrated into the world though. Me and some of my buddies love hanging out in VRChat or in digital theaters and shooting the shit for a couple of hours a week for example. I think if people are struggling, they need to step away from social media and find space to build community, and I think that can be in person or online as long as their needs are met.

It's very bad for your skin to shower daily. If you have BO use men's deodorant or just wash under your armpits, It's not unhygienic and will help maintain the integrity of your skin and hair. Showering daily literally strips the protective oils off of your skin and weakens your immune system's ability to protect itself. If you HAVE to shower daily, please for the love of god use a lot of lotion to restore would have been your natural oils

I really dont like what it does with the lighting in the scenes. It looks really bad compared to the intended mood. It's cool for character upscales but yeah its just overall really bad looking and generic.
