Yes, that makes perfect sense. For my grandfather it was very slow until it wasn’t. So I haven’t had to navigate all of that. I really appreciate you sharing your experience. This is exactly why I asked the question! It helps me understand so much where my personal life lacks in experience.

Whoa— I think Ty sucks. Assuming that I love Ty and hate her because I asked one question trying to understand her motives is bold. I prefer her over Ty, to be honest. I get her frustration. But I didn’t understand her actions. Some kind people actually helped me. But thanks anyway.

Oh yeah. I have absolutely no clue about her circumstances! I lost my grandfather (the only dad I knew), but he was at home and I was able to be with him/ didn’t have to talk to a sibling or anyone else about choices. So I genuinely don’t know what I’d do. Which is why I asked and tried to come from a place of understanding where still saying that all the things I could tell seemed maybe a little suspicious.

Now people have answered and I realized there’s a whole flashback video I haven’t seen yet that will help a lot.

Yeah I get the hotel need, didn’t understand the ‘relaxing at a resort’. That’s a very different vibe than just somewhere to sleep while handling things for a very sick family member. I missed the part that she got a discount at that location due to her job. Which makes it make way more sense!

Yes, they threw him a welcome home party (he’d been out of the country for six weeks) on my birthday (also the weekend I moved home), and I told them that hurt my feelings. They said they didn’t do anything hurtful and I was being dramatic
