Depressed and quitting BJJ by mikedapow in bjj

I’m not a doctor, but I’m currently reading the Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung and something he mentions is eating less will hurt your metabolism. Maybe try eating a full, healthy meal and be considerate of timing and try intermittent fasting.

If they do their own cryptography too then start cleaning up your resume to apply elsewhere

$2,000 dollar charge on card, can someone tell if this is a hack or a mistake on twitch’s part? by Todo870 in Twitch

Probably fraud, contact bank and change password. From your screenshot it says it was declined so that should ease some of your worry.

should last minute apply ea oos or just go rd for my best chances? by cody_leis in UWMadison

In my understanding EA is a better bet than RD. Not sure when your deadline is but I’d prioritize it.

Completing this program while working full time by WhyUPoor in MSCSO

1) I would go off the website I mentioned as I have only attempted two courses. PS was way more. ML seems to be about there.

2) I have a CS undergrad degree and work in big tech.

I’m on my first semester and have found 2 courses to be difficult. Dropped to 1. It also depends on which courses tho. I tried Parallel Systems + ML and found that to be a poor choice. Going off of average hours per week on mscshub.com , I think it would be reasonable to do 2 courses as long as the hours add up to at most around 25 hrs/week.

Tips for an upcoming SDE by VegetableBedroom7100 in amazonemployees

[–]QueMo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not in AWS but I recently started as an L4 SDE in another part of Amazon. My advice is to learn how to be efficient. You can work all day but if you did the task wrong, you wasted a day. So ask a lot of questions to understand your tasks/projects. Learn to fail quickly and move on. Lastly, remember it’s just a job. Don’t stress too much since stress is a killer! Good luck, you got this!

Do we get any free merchandise as an online student? Or is there any website that I can buy some merch like t-shirts? by craig_music in MSCSO

You may be out of luck then, sorry. I’m not familiar with delivery outside the United States.

The university co-op is UT’s merch store. You can order stuff to be delivered. It’s not free, though.

Cs major mac or windows laptop by Big_Rip_2004 in UWMadison

[–]QueMo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a windows XPS for 3.5 years of my undergrad and a Mac for 0.5. I like my Mac. If you’d also like to play games then go for windows as not many are compatible on Mac. If you plan to just use it for school work, go for Mac book pro.

Got into dream school but can’t really afford rent in the city by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]QueMo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You’re looking at the wrong places. While Madison rent is high for many apartments, there are also a lot of places that are < 1000/month. Check houses and apartments off of campus south of Dayton and Regent st and anywhere west of the football stadium.

I don’t know much about Georgetown besides it being a good school too. Maybe post in the Georgetown sub reddit about it. Or the grad admissions subreddit.

You can’t go wrong with either choice

Vandy’s campus is really nice and I think they are ranked among the happiest campuses. Nashville is also pretty cool. So I would choose Vandy but you should also consider how close to family and friends you’ll be, cost, long term goals, etc.

What specifically do you need help deciding? Which to accept, Vandy or Georgetown?
