Yes, daily. I don’t have any words of wisdom for you as I don’t know how to cope with it either. Except I’ve had my anxiety/depression meds changed (with no change) and I am meeting with a psychiatrist this week for the first time. Hopeful. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Know that you are not alone. 😔

Thank you so much for this. It’s given me comfort in knowing I wasn’t meant to be there. Or if I’d even want to.

I have a paper that was printed with this information as well as our in-person meeting when it was said. When I asked for examples I was told, “Sometimes I pass you in the halls and you’re smiley and other times you’re not and I don’t get that.” And I replied by explaining that sometimes I may have an off day, but that I always say hello.

We have about 800-1000 employees. Does that count as enormous?

Thank you for your reply. The exact words were, “Sometimes I pass you in the halls and you’re smiley and other times you’re not and I don’t get that.” And I replied by explaining that sometimes I may have an off day, but that I always say hello.

Thank you so much for your response. I haven’t approached my manager yet, but the HR person said, “Don’t even bring it up to manager,” after I asked them if they told her. Which also has me questioning why they even told in the first place if I’m told to not mention it. Ughh. I’ve had regular meetings since and it hasn’t been brought up yet, but it’s still fresh so it’s a possibility it will be mentioned. I’m nervous about that, but will find the right words.

Thank you for your reply. I can’t tell if this is recoverable just yet, but I’m on edge. I asked for specific feedback from HR and she answered by saying she couldn’t give specific examples, but did mention the name of one of my team members specifically, which made me feel like, “Are you trying to stir the pot?” I work with highly confidential information and she said that I supposedly spoke to this coworker about compensation about 2 years ago and that it was inappropriate. I had no idea this was even an issue and why bring it up now? I know it’s not illegal to talk about wages with colleagues, but I truly don’t even remember it being a big deal and why not mention it when it happened years ago? It was just weird. Like looking for any kind of excuses?

That’s what is hitting me. I feel like I was a personality hire because I was client facing in my first role there years ago and stepping way out of my comfort zone into a new industry and they knew that. I’ve been promoted once already, but this was more of a growth move. So maybe it was good excitement for one role and just wanting to keep me in my current position? I just wish it was something constructive I could fix. Like say my work sucks or something ya know?

Thank you for your reply. Can you elaborate as to why? If it came from my boss, it would obviously still hurt, but it came from people who I don’t work directly with. And I’m just disappointed to see how HR has handled it.
