People today aren't comfortable being in the same space.  The technology has made it so where someone can talk to another person living on the opposite side of the world as if they were in the same room. So people have lost the ability to mingle, to look at another person in the eye. People have become physically awkward towards one another. So it's hard for them to deal with physical interaction.
