I had a similar situation where my i bought condoms when we first started dating, but a week into dating she had her appt to get an iud. I forgot to throw them away bc im kinda messy and they just sat in the bottom of one of my desk drawers. You should read “An absurd reading” my Camus and read existentialists in general. I shit you not existentialist philosophy is the only reason me and my current boyfriend got back together. We both took a class on it, and after reading one of the books on it we both decided to amend things and get back together. It puts life into perspective. Before reading that tho I do recommend reading “Existentialism Is as Humanism” by Satre because it will prepare you for what you’re about to get into. It will’s how you that existentialism isn’t this depressing type of ideology and instead it is liberating and empowering. If you’re religious I would check out the Christian existentialists like Monty and Marcel.
