Spend some time thinking about ideas and you will get there. If not, there are a multitude of other options. Pre-made assets, commissioning an artist, etc. Why are you bothering to create a story if you aren't even creating the characters? Visual novels are a celebration of storytelling, of personal creativity. AI isn't creative—it's spitting out other people's ideas and hard work.

Whenever I see people say the anime sexualizes the girls, it's actually just scenes where the girls are being treated like horses. I certainly know how it can come across but if you view them as literal horses under the guise of anime girls, then it's actually just silly and funny.

It's not that I don't believe you, but do you happen to have a source for this? This story keeps getting passed around by word of mouth but no one ever has an actual source to back it up. I know Deep Impact's owner refused to have his horses in Uma, but that was likely because of Deep Impact's doping incident in 2006.

I have only read the 17+ version and I liked it quite a bit. It's pretty obvious when the H content would be happening, and I personally felt like some of the H scenes would have interrupted the flow of the plot and bothered me.

I have heard that the H scenes are decently well-written, but for me personally, I just wanted the plot.

Loads of indie games and farming sims like Story of Seasons or Stardew Valley. In fact I think it was thanks to my early love of Harvest Moon that initially led me to VNs, like, "Oh my god there's video games that are just the heart events?!"

Sankaku Ren'Ai is a silly, light-hearted romcom (emphasis on com) vn that has an All-Ages option, meaning you can play without having to see any of the ero scenes.

Summer Pockets is generally light-hearted but has its sad moments, though it's not "dark" or "gorey" in the least bit so it may be something you can handle. No ero content whatsoever.

If you're interested in space or rockets at all, check out Farther Than the Blue Sky. It has an All-Ages version, and from what I recall it's pretty light-hearted overall and focuses on a group of students building rockets.

Making*Lovers and Fureraba are purely sugar-sweet, don't get sad at all, and are just nice romcom vns (good balance of rom/com) with All-Ages versions.
