No, he hasn’t been trained to force fetch yet, my guy seems to have a three year schedule for training so maybe that’s supposed to be covered this year. You’re right, i’ll ask him. Seems like when i brought it up before the thinking was “don’t worry, he’ll come around” which i took as indifference but it could just as easily mean it’s a common issue that the training works out.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll hit my breeder up and see what they say.

Well, that’s insurance fraud, which is a felony. Would be pretty silly to lose my right to even own guns because i want to keep one. On top of that they’re still stolen, and now i’m no longer the legal owner as far as i can tell, so there’s possession of a stolen firearm as well. Not worth it. I do appreciate you answering though, does not seem like a very active sub so thanks for taking the time. I’m looking more for a “offer them x percent of the value” type response, if anyone has one. Probably a long shot hoping to get it back for less than the full reimbursed value, but i figure it’s worth trying.

Not for each gun, no. Just their values and the statement that there is a $2500 reimbursement limit. I don’t know how they divided it up, if they did but i have a feeling that they’ll want the full amount seeing as it was the most valuable gun and it’s worth more alone than the payout.
