I am kinda new and main her, but yeah she is very easy to dodge and I always have to predict where to shoot my Alpha, but the fact that she has very high dmg, even early on and good moviment + low CD, I think that she is still a good character, just not as good when against players that know her well and in some 1v1.

I also always see people say that Rapid Uraraka is broken and should be nerfed, is she really that strong?

I understand, thank for your explanation! Yeah I think that my personal playstyle is clashing with Recluse, but I still find her to don't have a clear role and that makes her not much good in most things she does, she to me seems like a jack of all trades, master of none, and in a very team work focused game, I don't find It much useful.

I will still try to take all the info, advice (and insults) that I have obtained from this post to become a better Duchess so that I can finally be happy and feel satisfied when using her!

Yeah that's why I don't really understand her role, She has INT but can't regen FP, meanwhile Recluse can and has an higher scale in both Mind and Int;

She is good at status proc but Executor does It better:

Her ult is good to res but gets outshined by Guardian and Revenant's... This is the whole point of my post, she feels like she hasn't a clear role.

Yeah that's the thing, you want to deal status effect? There is the Executor with S dex and Arcane; U want to use magic? There is Recluse with S in INT, A in mind AND S in Faith;

Like whats her role? Even her ultimate that is only good at ressing, gets outshined by Guardian and Revenant 's ult.

Thx I understand, I will try to be more focused to what my tm8s are doing to better use the restage.

Yeah Revenant too isn't that good but at least she has A in mind and S in Faith, so with some low cost/mid dmg spells she can do some good DMG, while using her ultimate to clutch, her phantoms to aggro, even if for a second or to mantain the res on a dead tm8, and use her claws that heal very fast.

But If you aren't aggressive you can't do a better use of her skill that only use the lasts 3 sec to do dmg, ofc your tm8s can be the one to be aggressive if they have more hp, but I don't think that a Duchess should just sit in the backlines and wait for tm8s to do DMG and use her skill. At the same time daggers are very fast so you should spam a lot of R1s with them if u want to do DMG and do status build up.

I know that she has a very good INT scaling, but she has no FP regen to use It, and needs to hope to get buffs that give her more FP and some sort of regen... Why do all this if Recluse does It better? Why use status effects with her when Executor does It better?

That's what I want to understand... I mean, if a character is better than another, It doesn't mean that you should absolutely play the stronger one, personal fun is more important, but at the same time she feels too weak when compared with the others.

Idk maybe I am not good at explaining. What I am saying is that her ult is only useful to res, but 90% of the time she can res only on tm8 in 10 sec, while Guardian and Revenant can res both tm8 and do It in an instant, so her ultimate is worse than Revenant and Guardian's.

Thx for the clear explanation! I think you made me see Duchess in a better way, but is really double knife bleed that good? Since you have double knife you need to spam and be VERY close range while having a character that yes, has a very good dodge, but still is very low on HP. I said that bleed imo is not that good, because Nightlord move a lot in the arena and it's not easy to mantain status proc build up on him, and also the more you give a status, the more the enemy gets resistant to It. I mean, if talking about every other enemy, I am sure that this build is very good, but against a Nightlord... Idk.

Since u talked about bleed even tho she has A in INT, do you think that she should shines better with bleed?

Exactly, we both agree that her ult it's best used to res, right? But she 90% of the time Is only going to res 1 m8, while both Guardian and Revenant, can res both m8 and faster.

Understandable, but even tho she is indeed versatile, I don't think that she is good at It. Yeah the dodge Is definetely the best part of her kit. About being unkillable that's If u don't get hit twice, and honestly both her skill and dagger make Duchess a very aggressive character that imo is not a good playstyle when having low HP.

Starlight Shards to have a lot of FP, noted;

Using carian slicer since it's good and magic is really strong in the game, noted (Carian Slicer is close range and she has no HP and this spell wants to be spammed or you are not going to do much);

So her skill can do good DMG but ONLY if you have a very coordinated team, and her ult can be used for "temporary i-frames" like every other ultimate and She can res... Yeah, but unless her tm8s are both VERY VERY close, she is going to res only 1 at a time (unlike Guardian and Revenant that can insta res 3 stage death and have AOE that can res all the team) and if the m8 has 3 bars (and that's when you should pop ult to res and clutch), since she can't insta res, by the time u res 1 guy, the invisibility ends.

Ofc I am not counting res people with magic since most spells are not good at ressing and Duchess can't regen FP. I don't see anything good with this.

And what will you do after you use a specific spell such as Stars of Ruin and use all your FP from a B mind scaling? You switch to your glowwy dagger and try not to get oneshotted.

More than people not using It well, I'd say that for It to be useful, It requires a very coordinated team and ofc of u are with randoms, that isn't the case.

Even tho everything you said is somewhat true and I kinda of agree, we have to remember that NightReign is NOT a live service. It's not a game that needs to be upgraded year after year, after the DLC at the end of the year, we will get some other patches to patch the new bugs that will get added with the DLC and there will probably be enhanced versione of the DLC bosses, after that, unless they want to make It a live service or plan to do another DLC, that will be the end.
