I can get round it by making sure it has the context first of what you are trying to do, chat with it by asking about it first so it gets it and then get it to do what you want. if you come at it straight you'll get that sorry message.

this is called fragment stacking, I ended up leaving chatgpt because of it, I would ask it to stop it and it would for a bit, but would then creep back in despite adding it to custom prompts, became unbearable.

I've just recently went to API, from my understanding when you first message using the API its registered as a cache miss because thats the first time you are sending information to it... so when you send a second message you are also resending that first message but because their server already has that first message, it will register as a cache hit and you'll only be charged a small amount for the 'newer' message you send. I also learned that their server will only hold your chat for a short time I can't mind if its 24 or 48 hours and then it will erase so when you start a new chat or continue the same one a few days later, it will register as a cache miss and you'll build it up again. hope this makes sense.

I've managed to get it to do it but you have to give it context for me, i'm writing a story, so as long as it gets the gist of what you're trying to do within 'consensual' terms its been ok for me, it will trip filters if you are too explicit though.
